KPBS Is Very Good, But Needs Improvement
- - Hari Srinivasan looks away often.
- - Rick Steves' shows are boring.
- - Peter Greenberg's Hidden Ireland has great photography.
I like Christianne Amanpour but reporter Hari Srinivasan still looks away too often when interviewing people which is disrespectful to the viewer and interviewee. How many times do people say, "Look at me when I'm talking to you?" because it IS disrespectful.
The producers need to do something about this. Chuck Todd also does this. I turn off both broadcasts when they start doing this. If Hari can't stop doing this, please replace him although I think he's good otherwise.
Rick Steves travel shows are boring as *** and there are other problems. He sticks his face everywhere he goes and this is disgraceful. Weak voice, egotistical, inappropriate, and his representations of the places he goes are as boring as he is. Show the real exciting places there, not the stuff that he hawks with his company which are for people 65 and up.
This gives his PBS programs an air of contrived sales using the network as a platform to sell his own services, like a giant infomercial which is disgraceful. I do not like him as a host at all.
Peter Greenberg's Hidden Ireland was excellent with wonderful photography that blows away anything Rick Steves does. The news reports are pretty good, and I like that there are few or no commercials.
