I haven't had this GE Cafe gas stove top that long. I cleaned the knobs for the first time and found out that every last one of these knobs are cracked and broken.
It is dangerous because if you can't turn the gas off, .... then what????
Why isn't GE sending out a letter to let the consumer know that these knobs are faulty. This was an expensive stove top!!!

We just purchased a new GE Cafe stovetop from Best Buy. The stovetop has been used less than a dozen times and the top of 3 of the plastic knobs have melted after briefly touching a hot pan on the stovetop. Why would plastic knobs be installed on an appliance where there is high heat?

I am VERY disappointed in Moen’s shower knobs. I have replaced it twice in the past 3 months due to a defective plastic stem that turns on the water valve (see attached picture). It ALWAYs breaks in the same place, which is a strong indication the product is defective....

Ordered knobs for my GE cooktop. Received 4 knobs in plastic bag in box with no invoice or PO number.
Knobs didn't fit. Bank acct billed $48. When I called to get a return address for a return authorization was told I needed the PO# to get authorization #. They didn't even have my phone (call to order item is still in memory of calls made on my cell phone) on record that I made the order with nor my address.
In a nutshell I was told I'm stuck with 4 knobs and to eat the $48.00. I'm 72 living on fixed income and have to make every dollar count. I'll never abuy anything from Sears again.
All the proof I have is a box plastered with UPS number and 4 knobs I'll never use.

I had problems with a *** cracking & I called to see if I could get a new *** I had purchased insurance on it when I bought it from Wal-Mart website. The customer service were polite and they helped me.
I received a new Counter top oven.. They were polite and understanding.... They called me back and emailed me they kept up and did research they were very understanding about my problems.. GET INSURANCE it will pay off.
ASK the store person because The Wal-Mart where I live NEVER ASKED ME IF I WANTED IT WITH MY MICROWAVE OR AIR-CONDITIONER... Because after a while things at times go wrong.
