Why do you not make the RS3 XD827 parts anymore!!! Not cool!

Lee was as helpful as possible.

BUT...

Why do you NOT make the wheel accessories for the RS3 XD827 17 wheels anymore?!?!?!?

We bought our wheels 3 months ago, at which time no one told us these were or were going to be going out of stock!! Would have been nice to know bc it wouldve changed our decision on these...we bought them with the intention of saving up for the bead rings in orange to match our 2020 Jeep.

Come to find out the WHOLE reason for buying these damn wheels is for nothing!

SERIOUSLY?!?!

Would have been better off with the cheaper, better looking wheels than these that we have.

NOT HAPPY AT ALL ABOUT THIS!!!

And of course websites still show them as having the parts and accessories for them, which have (from 3 different places) been kicked back as refunded due to not being in stock.

Oh yeah...

Not ANYWHERE do they tell you they are discontinued...I only found out bc I called you guys to see when they would be in stock again. (Was hoping for Christmas but thats a dead dream now- thanks)

Come on...your a big known and popular company...you can do better than this...I would hope!

Preferred solution: I want the 827-BR17-OR bead rings which is why we bought these wheels

User's recommendation: Very unhappy with how this was handled with knowledge about these wheels

KMC Wheels - Warning KMC chrome wheels pitting
Updated by user Sep 30, 2019

I would like a KMC rep to come take a look and or replace them but I don't think I should have to pay for shipping. I will already have to pay to have the tires removed and then remounted and balanced.

Hopefully this review will get to the right person and they will do the right thing and resolve my issue. Maybe they just got a bad batch of chrome wheels from their manufacturer.

Original review Sep 30, 2019

KMC chrome wheels started pitting in less then two months and less then 100 miles off use. Pitting not covered by their warranty....

they say brake dust and moisture causes pitting. I cleaned and waxed the wheels as recommended by KMC instructions and the wheels never saw any salt or off road use. I understand chrome is delicate in comparison to other wheel coating out there and that they need to be cleaned and waxed to protect them from brake dust so I used extreme caution when cleaning and protecting the wheels but they still started pitting less than two months. The only KMC contact I could find was an email address on KMC website no phone number.

I emailed and asked if they could have a KMC rep in my area come look at them but they never returned my email!!!! I asked the retailer I bought them from if they could have a KMC rep come by and look at them.

The retailer I bought them from told me I have to take the wheels off, have the tires removed, clean the wheels and then ship back the wheels (at my expense) to be evaluated and if KMC determent the pitting was caused by brake dust they will not be replaced.

So your telling me they are making a car/truck wheel that will start corroding/pitting (even when washed and waxed almost weekly) in less then two months. What if I had not washed and waxed them?

What a joke!

Again WARNING KMC wheels are making an inferior product that they will not stand behind!!!!!!!

If KMC would get back to my concern I'm sure they would say pitting is not covered under their warranty. However, I would not expect a wheel to start pitting this quick especial when washed, waxed and very very little use.

They should have a warning stating that their chrome wheels WILL start pitting because of brake dust or moisture regardless of how you clean and protect them!
