AI Highlights
  • Slices have shrunk and there are fewer per loaf.
  • The bread's texture and taste now resemble cheap white bread; it used to be the best on the market.

Kings Hawaiian bread. Was a staple in my family until about a year ago, then it starterd to happen, first the slicees of bread started getting smaller, then less slices of bread, then the worst, the consticency of bread, taste like cheap white bread.

Would like to meet the persons in charge to give them a punch in the nose for taking the best bread on the market and turning it into the worst bread on the market. I hope your sales go so far down that you are forced to bring back what used to be best bread on market.

User's recommendation: Best bread on market now. 100% multi grain. Large slices and constiencey

32 ct (2 pkgs of 16 rolls) from Costco

AI Highlights
  • Hawaiian Sweet Rolls were delightful with a hint of sweetness.
  • Costco 32-rolls lacked sweetness; Kings Hawaiian sent $1-off coupons.

We had Hawaiian Sweet Rolls over Thanksgiving that a guest brought for potluck and they were delightful and delicious with just a hint of sweetness which is what makes them stand out from most other rolls.

Thanksgiving came and went and so did the sweet rolls and while shopping at Costco, saw a double pack of 32 rolls total. Bingo!

A disappointment because the rolls sold via Costco did not taste the same in that rolls were totally missing that hint of sweetness.

We must have gone through half a package thinking and hoping for the sweet taste to appear. Nope, nothing.

We contacted the Kings Hawaiian company as they are located in the local area sort of. None of us wanted to eat the remainder of the rolls because they were missing that light sweetness. Kings Hawaiian said they would send coupons to make up for the cost.

The 2 coupons they sent only for $1 off towards purchases.

They said rolls were all made from the same recipe which may be true but something is off in their automated system that probably needs to be re-calculated so it measures the correct amount of sugar (?) to add. Makes me wary of future purchases because we love that hint of sweet and if its missing, its just a regular ole roll like any other roll.
