- - Bought KI 400 crossbow; scope cracked and mount wouldn’t fit.
- - KI gave no response; replacement arrived fast but is substandard—beware.
Bought killer instinct 400 cross bow for my grandson's first deer season. Multiple problems , scope lens was cracked, scope mount Not milled correctly wouldn't set into mount.
Also when test fired two times both bolts left the slide at about 45 degree angle up. Finally found one but not the other. KI would not answer or call back. After 9 days of e mails saying a ki tech would contact me soon never did call.
I called the distributor (soft source) he put another one on the truck within 10 minutes with a shipping label to return the first one. (Now that's trust and great service)The replacement works ok but is very sub standard from any other crossbow I've ever used. BEWARE killer instinct company WILL avoid you knowing that sooner or later you will give up and stop trying. From customer service to their product they don't care.
Get a bear or Barnett crossbow. I suggest bear x constrictor.
I write this to save all of you the mistake of thinking you will be dealing with a reputable company, or will get a good product. I read online that BBB gives them an ***
