KidSmiles
KidSmiles - Dentist Review from Greensboro, North Carolina
Had the worst experience.ever with a pediatric dentist. First visit, rushed through, dentist didn't even introduce herself or let us know how many cavities needed to be fixed.
She started talking to me through her mask, I am hard of hearing and explained i couldn't understand her without seeing her mouth, she looked perturbed and just put her mask back on and quit trying to talk to me. No explanation as to what needs to be done. Dental assistant explained he would need to come back. Went ahead with the appt hoping maybe it was a bad day.
Husband took my son in and was told he would have to wait up front (my child has never had a cavity filled before, no way!). My husband insisted on going back after they told him to leave. When he got back, the assistant was rude because he asked to be there. My 5 year old son was strapped down and gassed totally out!!
The dentist was extremely rough (!!!) and completed a bad cavity with crown in 7 minutes flat. (we have had kids sedated with gas before and they are still awake and somewhat there). 30 minutes after leaving he is in pain although still visibly numb (face sagging and drooling). We are so upset and worried someone's child is going to die.
Our kids won't go back if this is the last office on earth.
Most awful experience ever.
Unnecessary dental procedures on pediatric patient
Do NOT go to Lamboy and Rubio pediatric dentists in High Point, NC. Firsst of all, their office was a dump to begin with, yet recently they moved into a lavish office with video games and flat screen televisions.
Later, you will realize why. They have done several unnecessary extractions on my children's teeth just to charge insurance for services (probably resulting in the new and updated office). On a particular occasion, before changing dentists, my daughter's front tooth was extracted too early, by Dr. Rubio, forming calloused tissue, preventing the permanent tooth from coming through.
A year later, she had to have that part of the tissue opened to allow the other tooth to come through. My insurance did not cover the complete procedure, so I sent the remainder of the bill to them and they have refused to pay, even though the procedure wouldn't have had to be done if it weren't for their fraudulent and selfish service. They do not allow parents to go back with children, and now I understand why. Dr.
Rubio was verbally abusive to my child while she was not in my presence.
I wouldn't take my worst enemy to this assembly line-like practice. Steer clear from them!!!
