I paid $6000 to join KGI Destinations Travel Club in 2020, Now it seems they are out of business and I am out of $6000!!!

Money savings?
I am a member of Stay KGI; CHOICE Privileges and Windham Hotels so I often compare rates. KGI saves me no more than $5/night on comparable or same motels. In the original sales "pitch" (2017) we were told that we would have available or access to Hilton and Marriot brands and others rather than the mundane and usually low end motels. We not found this to be true. Redeeming points? Forget it. Money savings rewards? Forget it. It does not work in favor of the customer, only the management of KGI as the rebates they get from the motels they get room allocations & use is where they make additional money. It all has to do with sales volume. So, the initial $$ one "invests" in a KGI contract is money not well spent because the rewards of "ownership" are negated by (1) lack of rooms where you want them; (2) some dates desired are unavailable; (3) price differentials are not significant. I will say calling customer service, at times, has been helpful and the agent(s) do try to help. Bottom line, savings are not what is presented in sales meeting. One can do just about as well on line be searching.

KGI Destinations is by far the best vacation program I have had. Resolved my issues by relieving me of my timeshare and getting much better deals with their vacation club.

Originally, I had purchased a timeshare at Vacation Villas at Fantasy World. After being a not so happy owner of their timeshare for 5 years, I was approached on my last stay and was given the opportunity to trade in my timeshare and become a member of KGI Destinations. THANK YOU JESUS! I am writing here to explain to you that my experience with KGI Destinations has been nothing but superb!! I was not happy with my first purchase. However, now with KGI Destinations, I have found some of the best deals for vacation! I highly suggest if you're an owner of Fantasy World Resort, consider KGI Destinations ... You will be much happier. ID
