Went to the Novi camper show in Michigan last night in the new Montana fifth wheel are so cheap built it's unbelievable. My 2005 Mountaineer 5th wheel was a better quality built fifth wheel then the Montana fifth wheel today. The woodwork and electronics in these new Montana's are so cheap unbelievable I have a 2014 Montana and I think that was the last year I put quality and love into their fifth wheels the drawers are very small the cupboards are cheap I would hate to leave my canned goods on the Shelf I would be afraid they would fall through the Shelf during Transit the shelving is junk if it's as cheap as you can see just imagine what you can't see I will never buy another Keystone product unless they start putting some love an effort and improving the quality good luck Keystone owners.

Bad service, poorly built units.

I have a 2012 Keystone Bullet in July 2012 Katy Texas, They have a store near my home where I took the unit because there was a leak over the bed. the Seam where the front wall meets the roof was leaking and they resealed it for me in a couple of days. I had to bring it back in for the same reason a few months later and they resealed it again. It started to leak a third time and they said that it would be three weeks before they could take it in. I got my ladder found that the sealant that they use was chalky and cracked causing it to separate and letting water in when it rained. I sealed it my self with silicone and it has not leaked since But now I have water damage where the leak was and I went last Tuesday to get an estimate to see what it would cost to fix, and the guy Chris said that he would have my estimate in a few days. Today is Friday 9 days later and I was told Chris has not been in this week so I told them what I needed and they said I would have to wait for him to get back.( I feel that they could have had someone else help me or call one of the other stores look at the pictures and give me an estimate) I'm fed up with all this run around I'm getting. I will never buy another unit form Holiday World or another Keystone unit period.

Keystone Rv - Repair Review from Houston, Texas

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Keystone denied claim from their dealer that roof shell was damaged at the factory causing a leak on this new unit. Keystone did authorize the repairs or replacement of the living room slide out room that the whole floor needed to be replaced due to a manufacturing defect that allowed water damage. I delivered the unit on June the 6th of 2016 after waiting 2 months and living in motel till I was allowed to bring unit in for service. It is September the 8th and unit is still at the dealer and it is costing me 1600.00 a month for motel and 450.00 a month to maintain the lot for the RV which I'm renting and will lose if I don't pay for. keystone sent the wrong materials for the slide out repairs last week and dealer has no idea how long this will take to fix and get back to me and I am going broke in the process. There are many other repairs that have been done at this dealer as well during this visit

Keystone Rv Rv Review from Columbus, Michigan
Updated by user Jun 04, 2016

As of Monday, June 6, 2016, we are starting week #11 it has been in for service. Last fall it was in for 6 weeks, with Keystone arguing it was the fault of an outside vendor.

Come to find out, the wiring in the walls, FROM THE FACTORY was wrong! Not only the wrong...

Original review May 06, 2016
Brand new, our remote on our Big Sky would not work. After 6 weeks of sitting at the dealer and blaming Lippert Co.

sending 3 new control units and 3 new remotes, our dealer & a rep from Lippert discovered inside the wall wiring was wrong. Not even the correct wiring or connections. Wrong right from the factory. Now it's back at our dealer for 5 weeks and we were told yesterday that the frame on our coach is bowed.

WTF. We paid 80k for this thing. The MSRP is $115,000. Many other things wrong with it.

Lights that won't work, the Beaufloor is screwed up, the slide ripped the carpet out of the floor, satellite connection won't work, etc. May 4 we had it 1 year. The comment has been made we might have to unload it and have them drag it back to Indiana. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

If it goes back to the factory they're buying it back! If the owner at our RV center can't straighten this out, I guess we will have to retain an attorney.

Oh my........June 5 and we STILL don't have our coach back! Little by little the parts are dribbling in. Keystone is certainly in no hurry to complete this mess.....

I wish you guys luck, ours is wired for the remote but apparently somebody "forgot" to install it and there is no proof its supposed to have it, except the dealer claimed it was until delivery day.

2015 Keystone Rv - Outback Diamond Edition 296frs Rv Review from Fairplay, Colorado

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

1st trip TV Antenna fell off of top of camper because of improper factory installation per service Dept at dealer, next trip out the shades and curtains and trim around it all fell off of wall and ceiling in dining slide out before we were half way to campground, black water tank valve leaks and is very hard to operate and gear drive stripped on closet slideout while traveling on a road trip and no one stocked the part or offered help. ...

This is a 2015 OUTBACK Diamond edition 296FRS and you don't want to know my rating..several other aggravating things but too many to list.

We traded a 2006 Crossroad Cruiser that we loved, but wanted a new Rv for retirement plans!! Still kicking myself!!

Poor Quality RV with No Warranty Support

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought my Montana High Country 201* 375 FL on 2 June 2016. I found the AC did not work correctly and had a few other items. When I picked it up form the dealer 6 weeks later I was told Keystone would not fix or authorize the AC repair, the scratched window, the window shade with *** and could not fix the rear corners of the roof that were badly designed making lakes on the roof. I continually contacted Keystone to get my items fixed, and had to go to another warranty dealer other than the selling dealer. So the RV spent 83 days in the shop gtting warranty work. On top of that I had to troubleshoot and fix most of the AC issues with Dometic Help. Keystone has no customer support! They do not care about making happy customers and their manufacturing lacks quality and you will need your dealer to fix many manufacturer errors. On 10/1 I finally was able to pick the RV up with most but not all of the items fixed. So out of its first 120 days I owned it it spent 83 days in the shop and was not completely fixed by Keystone requiring me to do many items. I would never buy another Keystone/Thor Product again.

WE WILL NEVER BUY A KEYSTONE RV AGAIN

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We bought a 2007 Keystone 35ft Montana Mountaineer new. We have had nothing but problems with it since we bought it. First the furnace went, the large slide came off it's track, we had to manually slide it in. The decals started coming off within 3 years. We had two flat tires within 70 miles which tore up the sides of the camper & lost both wheel skirts. The battery goes dead in no time. Brought it in for repairs, but they couldn't find a reason for it. We have water damage to the floors in two of the slides. Had to rip up flooring and lay down new plywood. We will never buy another Keystone product.

Slide out floors keystone cougar

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When replacing my carpet I discovered that both slide out floors had extensive rot damage. Poor design lets the rainwater flow under your slide out and cause extensive damage. A 4000 dollar project, I called Keystone to get some measurements on the floor. I didn't even ask them to do the repairs or compensate me, I just wanted to know the dimensions of the floor so I could fix it myself. They refused to give them to me. To them, I should bring it in and pay 4000 dollar. I which I could say i had an extra 4000 dollar lying around that I don't need. Customer service is non exsistent. Sent an email and no reply.

Front panel Delaminating 2012 Cougar Travel Trailer

Keystone RV - Front panel Delaminating 2012 Cougar Travel Trailer
Keystone RV - Front panel Delaminating 2012 Cougar Travel Trailer - Image 2

I contacted the dealer where we bought our Cougar and showed him pictures of the delaminating that is taking place on the front Panel. He said that Keystone is aware of the delamination and unfortunatley off warranty.

Just like that he said nothing he can do under warranty and quoted me $1700. I sent three requests to Keystone with my COntact info, pics of the problem and a narrative of what has happened. That was 2 weeks ago and no reply or contact. DO NOT BUY A KEYSTONE!!!!!

Terrible product and worst yet terrible customer service.

I have kept this trailer under an all weather cover and away from the sun. Never could have imagined that within 3 years I would have to deal with this.

My keystone sprinter 2015 sprinter literally fell apart in my driveway . Delaminated On every part of that trailer .

I will never ever buy keystone product again . Keystone did nothing to help

We bought our 2012 Cougar by Keystone. We had only put 5,000 miles on it when all of the tires had to be replaced.

Fortunately we were were close to civilization on the first two flats. The end cap has faded and is not under warranty.

Keystone has produced a cheap

Product. We always keep our trailer clean after each use.

Do not buy a Keystone!

Hello, my husband and I also have a 2012 Keystone Cougar that we noticed is starting to have a desalination issue on the front. We take the up most care of our trailer.

We clean an wash it inside and out after every use. We wash it with a uv protection soap and make sure every winter it is stored under cover. We consider our trailer an investment so that is why we take such great care of it. After reading your post and seeing the delamination due to I'm 100 % positive is due to poor craftmanship from the factory.

My husband and I are considering selling it and buying another brand of trailer.

If this has started who knows how long before other issues show up. I will also contact keystroke as well as the BBB and the attorney General is keystroke does respond and make good.

Thanks for the warning. This is the second Keystone bad review I have read.

Thank you for the info. I was looking to buy one.

Have a 2006 23KRS with the same issue - front cap delamination. I continually see outback's on the road with the same issue, sometimes on the rear of the trailer.

Overall I've enjoyed the trailer with no other issues.

It's obvious the company refuses to address the issue, and since it normally doesn't appear until after the warranty period, the owner is completely stuck with the cost of replacement. In summary, if you plan on keeping your RV for more than a couple of years, I would steer clear of the Outbacks.

Guest

Same issue. Dealers are aware of the problem because when you attempt to trade it in on something better, they immediately ask questions about how bad is it delaminating without even looking at it.

They will give you next to nothing on a trade-in for it. Nobody should have to deal with a poorly built product with an obvious issue.

Keystone should have made it right to keep a good reputation, but they don't. Will never buy another Keystone product EVER!

2016 Keystone Rv - Sprinter Rv Review from Lancaster, Texas

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a 2016 Keystone Sprinter 319MKS, I paid cash and it was purchased June 2016 from Holiday World in Mesquite, TX. Im sure you do not have alot of people that pay cash for a RV. Im really disappointed because I did pay cash, and wasnt offered anything for doing so. They could of thrown in a extended warranty or that spray for the outside to protect from weather conditions. Really disappointed. Also this is my home. I live in our RV and I have some little issues that need addressed but for us to disconnet from everything and the cable dish to take it in for repairs is going to be a pain. I have a cat, and no where to put her.. Just really disappointed in the dealer where we bought this. Your Keystone Sprinter company should offer their customers something for paying cash.

Keystone Rv - Rv Repair Review

I am very disappointed in Camping world . We have bought 2 Keystones campwrs. New ones. A Cougar in 2012 and a Sprinter in Mar. 2016. We have had trouble with the Sprinter and they have worked on it and have not resolved the problem. Plus one of their service men while moving the camper damaged the truck and camper. Got the truck fixed and took the camper to camping world to be fixed when pick it up 7 days later they had moved it to a anther lot and had not touched it. Now the auto jacks are missed up. We are at the camp ground now. This concern was brought to their attention before the camper was moved off the lot, and their reply was they didn't know nothing about it. Very pissed at this point. The service department sucks. No one seems to know what they are doing. In order to keep customers keystone need to check into this. Very rude people.
