Verified ReviewerThey got my 7,099.09 and did the work they wanted to but they didn't address the water leakage.

November 23,2021 Chris Bailey came to my house and promised his company would resolve my water problem. Since Keystone is the 2nd contactor hired for this same project.
This paragraph describes the work done by the 1st contactor:
Homeowner had Steadfast Custom Construction out March of 2021 to put in an external system in.
Outside System was not put in correctly and we are doing the project right this time with an internal system. It took them over 7 months for a job that should have taken 3 days. They also connected the external system to the homeowners downspout while not even using crushed stone to prevent silting and soiling. All together poor work.
The 1st contractor was paid $2,500.00
Chris was going give us the best service and end this problem.
I must say everyone from this company are great people but I didn't pay $8,000.00 to have new friends.
Keystone came back several times.
Trying each time to stop the leak and still we have a leak.
I know they worked and did a job but looking at the ongoing water problem thier job was never the resolution. Chris feels there was more than the issue at the steps. There was a minor issue on the other corner( i do have a photo). I hired them for the water leakage at the steps (there are photos) which is still a major issue.
I felt Keystone owes me my money back or they hire the recommended contractor to get the job done.
I feel if this wasn't a job they could correct they shouldn't have been selling their services.
Obviously this service wasn't needed.
Online review reply from the owner:
Bernie, I wish we could see eye to eye on this. Even though you are dissatisfied, and I can appreciate your point of view, we did perform the initial installation as per the contract. We also sent John and his Service Team out to listen to your side of things and didnt shirk the issue with you. As a foundation repair company, we dont protect ceiling (or in this case the top of a stairwell that acts as a ceiling) from water intrusion.
These ceiling or roof scenarios are typically handled by other tradespeople.
I do believe you are sincere when you say that you thought this would happen. Even though the paperwork is clear, and no money was paid for this specific repair, I still feel it is our obligation to verbally make sure that areas of limitation are clear beyond language on the contract. We feel short of that and I personally apologize. That said, this is not a service we even provide or are quite frankly qualified to perform.

SO!
8,000.00 later and I'm told to try another service. Do you think I was promised to be helped. For 8,000.00. Of course!!
Mr owner do you think that should have been told to me before you took my 8,000.00?
I asked for help for that water damage that you clearly see under the steps and where it's coming from.

Mr owner if your contract says you don't cover ceilings and steps are considered"ceiling" then why did u take the job?
Keystone Basement, Chris suggest I call a masonry and you advertise you offer masonry waterproofing on your website? Added photos proving leakage at the steps was always visible.
You can't think that you can keep my money and I will live with my original issue?
Customer awareness.
always get a guarantee!
promise to help with the water issue. paid 8,000 00 to only find out they don't know what the issue is and I need to search for another contractor.
I copied and pasted my conconversation online in the reviews section.
I have all text with Chris the sales rep and never said this issue wasn't their problem.
I will attach the water issues at the steps and the Minor issue they think I'd pay 8,000.00 dollars for. They are the last 2 photos.
