Left oil cap off

daughter took her car in for oil change. they told her she needed a new tire and by law was not to allow her to leave. daughter is 19 and her first experience with sales tactics. scared her to tears they said if she would come back she could leave. her car is a prius which runs some time on motor and some electric. going down the highway her car stalled and made loud noises. I went to her and raised the hood. oil everywhere and no oil cap. prius oil cap screws in deep not screw on like normal cars so it couldn't have fallen off. I put three qts oil in and she started the car. motor shot sounded like bolts in tin can. long story short wayne the manager lied through his teeth and admitted he was no mechanic. his mechanic lied, their corporate office lied, they have told so many lies its pathetic taking no responsibility at all. these are the worse bunch of people I have ever dealt with. their corporate office told me this could not happen and he don't believe they left the oil cap off. in fact, this is a common thing for midas even this Kennesaw store. what happen to the car is also common with midas as their corp office said its never happen they hold formal complaints one after the other and he lied. you better believe all the bad business practices you read on line cause they are true! they lie cheat and NEVER take responsibility for ANY of their faults. they destroyed my daughters prius and are trying to lie their way out just like ALL the other damages they have done to people. check online and you will see story after story with this same MO. everyone of them are the worse people on earth! even the lady at corporate office, how can anyone who sits listening to complaints all day every day keep working there? because they are all bad people! I will sue! they will pay for her car!

$900 Oil Change

My 77 year old grandmother takes her car to Kennesaw Auto Center located at 2255 Moon Station Court Kennesaw GA 30144, and requests a basic oil change for her 1998 Grand Marquis. The total invoice amount came to $897.91, which was charged to her credit card. The paper invoice shows not only an oil change, but a vast array of other services apparently performed on the vehicle that nobody requested. After going in to question the auto center about this bill, they indicate that my grandmother requested these services over the phone. It should be noted that my grandmother is not even remotely familiar with the services that she supposedly requested. I was eventually asked to leave the premises of the auto center after requesting a refund for the unwanted services, and was instructed to never return. The Kennesaw police were also called and later indicated that I would be arrested for trespassing if I shall ever return to the premises. The Kennesaw Auto Center is obviously taking advantage of their customers, specifically the elderly. The behavior of this company is obviously unacceptable, and I would very much like to see them exposed to the public for their unethical business practices.

This is the perfect example of shops taking advantage of "Women". But this is the worst of the worst.

However you go public, make sure express the fact that they took advantage of 'ONE OF OUR SENIOR CITIZENS'. And keep expressing the fact Senior Citizen. This will not be looked upon lightly. Also dispute the credit card, or put a 'stop pmt' on her check.

As she is a senior citizen and was taken advantage of ! I do not know about GA. but here in Colorado I would put a sign in my back window of her car stating "KENNESAW AUTO CENTER CHARGED ME $900.00 FOR AN OIL CHG. & I AM 77 YRS.

OLD" great way to treat your Seniors !! Just a couple ideas. And yes, I am a trouble maker.

But I get results. Good Luck Y'all JAN in Colorado
