Loved living in Kenley!
I have nothing but good things to say about Kenley, the size and layout of the apartment, the staff, maintenance, security, etc. The apartment was luxurious, the staff were very friendly, the maintenance was there within minutes of anything that needed to be done, having the security gate and security alarm in the apartment was definitely plus. I loved watching the ducks on the lake and the wildlife in front of my apartment. I used the sunroom as my computer room/office. The bathroom was huge! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the home that I called Kenley. I was transferred out of state or I would still be living there. If I move back to Birmingham I will definitely be at Kenley.

I'm actually surprised of the negative feedback about Kenley. I'm a current resident here and have LOVED it!! The (current) staff are very friendly and have gone above and beyond, even helping me move heavy furniture and helping to install a wall mount for my tv. I live next to an elderly couple who have a harder time getting around and a maintenance man is always over there helping which whatever they need. Kenley has handled all of my request always in a friendly, timely manner. No complaints from me!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO LIVE!!! My girlfriend lives here and we are constantly being harassed! Her apartment flooded and they didnt do anything about it. She had to stay in a hotel plus she had several belongings damaged that kenly refused to pay for. They also passed this ridiculous rule where you can't park anywhere besides visitor parking unless you have a parking pass, and you cant get a parking pass unless you are on the lease. So try spending the night with your girlfriend, boyfriend, or family member and have to be at work the next morning and its pouring down rain. If he or she leaves before you do then you are stuck there until it stops raining, then you still have to walk across the complex to get to your car. The office staff has no respect for anyone! I am one of the most laid back people that you will ever meet. I never complain about anything, but this place has made me furious! They towed my brand new car because of a "parking problem" when there where 4 parking spots available on both sides of me! Now I have to pay $200 to get it out, all because I wanted to conveniently cook dinner for my girlfriend. We are now filing a law suit for harassment against kenly. If you are looking for a nice apartment that makes you feel at home, save your self the trouble and go somewhere else besides this *** hole! But if you are looking for a retirement home style living where the office staff is constantly in your business, than this is the place for you!

I leased an apartment here for 18 months and paid every month on time. I notified the complex that I was vacating at the end of my lease, and submitted the statement in writing. The management office said I never gave them 30 days noticed and therefore the apt charged me an 1 month penalty plus added on some extra 200 dollar charge and without notice, either by phone or written, submitted me to a collection agency within 15 days of me vacating the apartment. When I called the management office, they said it was their policy neither to discuss the matter with you otr their policy to notify you, but submit your name directly to a collection agency. This is unprofessional and they are ruthless, oviously they have no problem immediately trying to ruin your credit. MY advice NEVER RENT HERE, even it loks enticing. By the way, I tried to file a complaint to the better business bureau and Kenley has been kicked out because of number of complaints and their failure to respond to the complaints. Obviously they careless about consumers and even careless about their business ratings and standards.
