I purchased a home with 3M film and the window has broken without explanation. The film was installed just two years before the window broke and the window company thinks that it is probably because of heat accumulation buildup from the film.

The warranty is for life as long as the window breaks when the original owner owns the house......what difference does it make for God's sake. The window is the window.

This is just a way for 3M to cut their losses and call a warranty a lifetime warranty when it isn't covered after just two or three years.
