Keepsakes Estate Sales and Services, LLC stole my grandfather's estate

The owner used an illness to not honor contract. When pressed she lashed out and made my sister cry by text.

My grandfather died in July and we had to sell the contents and found this company who was able to hold an estate sale for us. Everything seemed fine and so we gave her the key to the condo so she could take inventory.

The owner claimed her purse was stolen and our condo keys were in it. When we sold the condo we did not have the second set of keys. I had to pay to replace keys and then she somehow found the keys.

She took possession of our belongings the weekend of September 20,2013. The contract started that she would sell the stuff and give us a detailed invoice and send a check with the invoice. This was a fully furnished condo with 2 bedrooms and lots of stuff.

Oct 10, made contact with her. She said she would be selling all things in October and would be finished early November.

Nov 5- she said she was putting all things in the 4th and final sale and would be donating everything else. She also said that only little things were left. She said she would write a check and send invoice after that weekends sales

NOvember 16- no word at all. I contacted her she said she had been sick.

NOvember 21- she said she placed items at sales the past weekend and would have all receipts done and check sent out November 27. December 6- I contacted her because i still had not heard anything and she never responded to me.

December 7- My sister contacted her and the owner told her that she would place a check in the mail on Monday 12/9 December 12- still no check and my sister offered to go pick it up at the owner's home. The owner said "give it until Saturday because of the weather" When my sister said no we want this to be finalized, the owner sent a text that was so inappropriate. Saying that all her other clients are understanding about her illness and that she hoped that my sister would not get a deadly illness so she would be more compassionate to others. The owner placed a check on her mailbox and my sister had to drive to her house to get it. When she received the check, it was shocking. It was a fraction of what we thought it would be. Since the owner of the company never communicated to us we thought that a fully furnished apartment with many valuables would be worth more than $400. This owner of this company attached a handwritten note of what sold and what she sold it for. There were more things that had been donated than what she led on originally and there is no way for us to prove it. I have text of everything I am saying. I feel like she stole our grandfather's estate when we were feeling vulnerable and never had any intention of paying us. When we pressed her for what was contactually ours, she wrote a check for whatever and just jotted down stuff. I am very unhappy and since, I don't believe she was ever honest with us to begin with, I feel like she stole our granfather's estate.
