I made the mistake of getting dentures at K&C a few months ago after paying $1,950.00 I am in pain! Went back several times with no relief called today after being up all night in pain and was rudely told I can come in in 3days! Once they have your money they just don't care!

I had a partial made in the Lamar, PA office. It wasn't right.

I wore it once, complained, made numerous phone calls and a 'pop-in' visit, only to be told I was unreasonable and there wasn't anything they could do. I was told by insurance company I would have to wait 2 yrs to get another one. Fact was, unless K&C Dentures rescinded the initial claim, I had to wait 5 yrs. I recently spoke to Steve (Ops Mgr) who is STILL refusing to rescind it and give that $375 back to Ins co.

I wouldn't care if they paid me back. They are miserable to deal with.

I would never go back there again and am telling everyone I know to go other places. It's already paid off because a friend of mine was going to take their Mother there for dentures and has since made an appt someplace else.

UPDATE: After posting my review, the receptionist pulled me aside and explained that the people going before me were people coming back from appointments in the morning. She allowed me to bring my dog in while I waited. She was very nice about it.

Original review Mar 06, 2018

I was the first one in after lunch and I was told it would be 20 minutes. I have seen patient after patient who arrived after me go back.

I told the receptionist that I drove from 3 hours away and I had my dog in the car.

She basically told me there was nothing she could do. I’ve been her more than an hour now.

Great experience!!!

I got my dentures approximately 4 years ago. I had alwaysvhad problems with my teeth, and so I went to the dentist and got them out.

I went to k&c for my dentures and everything about my experience was fantastic! The person who I saw to get them done was so friendly, so professional, made me feel at ease, all the staff was great! My dentures have been absolutely wonderful!

It's been so nice to be able to eat anything I want! I would highly reccomend k&c dentures!

Sent to ER

K&C Dental center repaired my dentures and left a chemical residue on the that caused chemical burns to my mouth. This ended up in two trips to the emergency room; leaving me to suffer, because my insurance would not pay the medicine to treat the burns.

I was left with having to use over the counter medicines instead. On top of that, the repair they had done melted the teeth, making them look like cottage cheese. The receptionists are condescending.

Saying in a loud voice, that I had welfare insurance and can't upgrade, when I have insurance with monthly payments like everyone else. They are rude and habitually ignore you when they know you are there with a complaint.

You should NOT have to wait months for teeth

I need an extraction of a front tooth and wanted to add to my partial. It IS possible to take an impression while the tooth is still intact so that the day of the extraction the partial denture could be picked up (who likes to walk around with no teeth while waiting weeks for them, NOBODY).

I drove an hour to this particular location and was told by the dentist "come back after the tooth is extracted and then we'll do impressions." ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He was rude and thought I was ***.

I know the real reason for the lack of interest- Amerihealth insurance. I am appalled at such ignorance and will never go back to that location.

Double Billed

I received a set of dentures in 2014, which I was quite happy with, but I just got a bill for $1.250 for a set of dentures that i supposedly got 3 months ago! I have not even been in their building since 2014, and now they're saying that they have my signature saying I was happy with these dentures aquired 3 months ago.

When I asked to see this signature,it was impossible because they have it at an office too far from me.Hmm! Sounds fishy to me!

A NEW set after 20 years

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

So, I just read THREE bad reviews about KC, THREE....there were more people in the waiting room than that when I went into the office? I recently replaced my dentures (12/15), I remembered 20 years ago being a "young" patient. Due to family deficiencies, childbirth and quite frankly horrible dental habits having to have ALL of my teeth pulled at 23 years old. I had been going to my dentist when I had problems, pull a few here, a few months later a few more and before you knew it you were lucky i *** could actually eat food.

Anyway, I remember the first time there feel in ashamed and embarrested about my situation. EVERYONE was so nice and understanding. No one made me feel like it was my fault and I was treated with respect, talked to like a person and educated about my new dentures.

20 years later the experience was even better. They took the time to answer question, give advice and still treat me with respect.

I guess you give what you get? I DEFINATELY would recommend the Altoona office. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH =))...that's my new wonderful smile, thanks to KC

Terrible service and Dentures

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased the best available with a 5 year warranty. When I had a crack repaired with 2 months left on the warranty they repaired them just long enough to get past the warranty and then a big piece broke off right where the crack was.

I don't expect them to last forever but for $3000.00 they should last well past the 5 year warranty! I had to go back numerous times at the time of purchase and they never did fit right. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!

They only care until they have cash in hand then you are only a bother to them and when you go back with a complaint they make you feel like you are a bother to them. I never had a problem with my last plates but I moved to the area (Altoona, Pa.) and could not go to my previous lab.

The craftsmanship is terrible my front teeth are smaller than other. One side of the plate is thick the other side is super thin. Terrible would not recommend.

OMG it was so hard for me to deal with my teeth out. I am sick and my real teeth broke off and had them all pulled.

Instead of going to my doc who pulled them because he is so far away I went to K&C. I told them I will b very picky and showed them pics of what I wanted. They were so nice it was unreal!!! They made my teeth and I went back maybe a mo later to try them.

They were horrible!!! They did not fit at all. They had to cut and grind for them to fot to the point there was no teeth in the back, They were flat! They ground a big ditch in them behind all the teeth and my tongue would get caught..

it was a horrible exp. The woman that sold me the teeth and promised to do all she could for me was PISSED when I did NOT like the teeth. They said they would not give my money back but 2 wks later they did give it back. It is so horrible to go thru period and then have a hard time with it.

Not one of those people that worked in there had false teeth so there is no way anyone could relate!!! I do not care to be treated really well and then treated like dirt when things don't do their way when I am spending my money!!!!

K & C Dental Center, Inc of Pottsville, PA. will not replace dentures

I purchased top dentures for $595.00 on 6/25/12 they did not stay up when eating, I went back on 7/23/12 and they filed them down but the next time I ate they still fell down. Then on 7/27/12 a tooth fell out and when I went back I told them I was pissed but all they did was glue it back in and when I told the dentist that the dentures were still dropping when I ate he didn't do anything to correct the problem.

On 8/16/12 another tooth fell out now I was really pissed I went back and said I wanted a new plate made. I told the dentist that when he took the dentures out of my mouth at the final try-in he touched those two teeth and said he almost pulled them out and he said I must of been dreaming. Then the dentist said it happens not all the time but sometimes it does and I said I had my old dentures foe 30 years and not one tooth fell out, then the dentist said it was because I had my own bottom teeth and that they were hitting my top teeth too hard. I was told that that was why there was a guarentee for that reason and I said that I paid for guarentee when I paid the $595.00 then the dentist said he does not have to take this abuse and left the room.

I am afraid to *** into anything hard like apples or corn on the cob in fear of another tooth falling out. I would never recommend this place to anyone

I agree, i would not go here. On my initial visit I told the dentist that I had

had a terrible time when I got my teeth originally about 12 years ago. He

asked where I got them, and I said Temple Dental School, and he boldly

said there is no way that I could not have had a bad time there because

Templeis great and his son attends Temple. I told him how when my teeth

were pulled my sinus cavity was opened and the surgeon missed it and I

walked aroudn liek that for months with a ton of symptoms which I

repoorted to the student doc who always told me that it was normal and

would go away soon. I am digressing, but this is the experience he said

could not have been terrible.

Then he practially called me a liar three other

times. Once when I said my teeth were great until I had my daughter, (he said, "There is no such thing as have a child lose a tooth." He even said soemthing about Romney and women! I had no idea what

he as talking about, but it creeped me out.

SO when they showed me the teeth I asked about color, I wasn't thrilled with the colors, as the whitest one was not so white, when I asked him he said whiter is not realistic. Well in this day and age many people have beautiful *** teeth from whitening, but he told me that I am mistaken, and that I must be looking at darker skinned people because of the skin teeth contrast.

This guy is a joke, and I wasn't thrilled with the yellow looking teeth anyway.
