I have several thoughts on your bags. I have done several long distance hikes using your bags.
Several years ago I did the GR65 in France using your smaller bag and I just completed the Via Francigena using your larger bag. I have the same design complaint about both. The outside pockets are great . The zipper on the right pocket should go up rather than down.
I have lost multiple items due to the zipper going down. The Velcro on the left pocket is useless and becomes a flapping piece of material within 1 month of use I do love your bags however and they were great on the trail.
