I purchased a lamp in the early spring. It remained boxed until my home, furniture was ready to use it.
I removed the lamp recently and there were what appeared to be black, skid marks on the base of the lamp. The base is PINK so the black marks were evident. Additionally, the base was painted gold. It is a sloppy paint job and looks rushed and unprofessional.
Not to mention the DRIP marks left by the poor paint job. I sent a number of pictures to support my claims. I suggested that it appeared to have occurred in the packaging because there was no damage to the box, which Ive expressed previously. I had received a table whose top was damaged, I complained and they removed it and gave me a credit.
I feel that this is the reason they are unwilling to allow me to return the lamp. Yesterday, a woman contacted me and wrote, I will be taking over from here. Right away, it felt like a slap on the hand and a directive to, shut up. Her final comment was that they were offering me $150 or a store credit.
I asked her what I had paid for the lamp because it was more than $150 and she did not answer me. I have now asked twice for this information so she can see how ridiculous the offer was and again, no answer.
DO NOT MAKE A PURCHASE FROM KATHY KUO HOME. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS AND WANT TO BLAME THE CUSTOMER.
