I really do not like to write reviews, therefore it either must be really bad or really good. In this case its beyond belief bad. Germania Insurance I believed was a great company. We have had no issues for years. Customers for a long time. Now that we have had this wreck with some damage to just our vehicle. They are nowhere to be found. Germania Insurance had us take our vehicle to one of the largest dealership shops in Decatur, TX. Our Vehicle was there for about two weeks. The older service guy there was mean to everyone. Very unpleasant to work with. So, at the ford dealership where they do the body work to our vehicle they also replaced the cooling system on our DODGE JOURNEY. We get our vehicle back from these guys and less then a week later we start hearing a noise. We were asked to bring the vehicle back so that they could access the vehicle. At that point Germania Insurance was notified of the vehicle making a noise. The older man at this ford dealership in Decatur TX tells us that he will contact our insurance adjuster to come look at the vehicle. Come to find out this never takes place. At this point we must take our vehicle to the Dodge Dealership in Decatur TX same company. So the ford dealership in Decatur TX can replace the cooling system but they could not figure out where the noise was coming from. The Dodge dealership in Decatur TX has our vehicle for over a week trying to figure out where the noise is coming from and finally, they get it, it has to be the Alternator and the idle tensioner. If you know anything about vehicles, this has nothing to do with the cooling system. We are told this has to be the issue. So, we pay and go pick up the vehicle at the dodge dealership in Decatur TX. We start it up and we hear the noise. Going back in the service department we are met by a young sandy haired boy. He starts telling us, well its an older vehicle and its going to make noise. This vehicle is five years old and has not had any issues before now. Instead of him trying to resolve the issue. He tells us its your problem now, after the fact of having our vehicle in this shop for over a week and paying a thousand dollars. Two weeks later. Driving the vehicle to work. Once at work the vehicle bust into smoke everywhere, fire department was called out because we thought it was going to bust into flames and blow up. Fire department comes out and looks it over to make sure everything is okay. They tell us that one of the main hoses that goes from the radiator to the engine exploded. At this point we had to have it towed into a dodge dealership in Fort Worth TX. This was later confirmed by the dealership. The ford dealership in Decatur TX that could not figure it out and passed off their faulty work. The ford dealership in Decatur TX that lied to us about contacting our insurance adjuster. Germania Insurance said they would come back out to look at the vehicle again and that they will fix the issues. We were told that they would look at the vehicle over a week ago. At this point they wont return any phone calls and the dealership has said they have not seen anyone come out from Germania Insurance.
