Forgetting to lift the security
- - Car bought from Kaines Car Yard had a security that blocked a trade-in.
- - Only Mr Kaine can remove it, and he was unavailable for a week.
I bought a car from Kaines Car Yard in Ulverstone nearly 5 years ago. I went to trade in that vehicle to purchase a new car, only to find it had a security on it and I wasn't able to trade it in.
I had purchased the car outright so there was no reason to have a security on it. When I phone to get it lifted, apparently only Mr Kaine can do this and of course he is not available to do so for minimum another week.
This is ridiculous as it should have been removed when I purchased the vehicle, now I have to wait even longer to get my new car because of their mistake. Will NOT ever be returning or recommending them to anyone!

my mother recently hit hard financial times and decided to sell her VW camp mobile. we approached a local 2nd hand dealer ( KAINE CARS, 6 INDUSTRIAL DRV ULVERSTONE TASMANIA ,AUS) in an effort to sell the vehicle to them outright.
the yard owner suggested instead that we park the camper in his yard for 1 week and if it sells my ma' would pay a small commission of $100 to the yard owner. so we did. ma' put a sale price (in the window of said camper) of $12.000 ONO. after we left the yard (ma' and i...her son) the owner, mr kaine?
removed the sale sign and promptly put a price of $12.900 on the vehicle....didn't tell us of course cause he had dollar sings in his eyes. what he didn't count on was someone who knew my ma' spotted the camper and came to visit ma' to talk turkey.
we then were made aware that kaine raised the price without the ma's concent. and 2nd hand car dealers wonder why they have a bad rep'.
