They're doing neighborhood canvases to get business. It sounds all good, but I told the guy I would be doing some online searching to verify this company.

First and only place you can get info on them is the BBB. They basically said avoid them like the plague!

They don't charge (which I was told there would be none), correctly, overcharge customers and blame everything on the them. So I immediately canceled cause I'm not going to get myself into that situation.

Just Energy changed the due date of my bill to the first. I am only paid once a month and live month to month.

I paid my bill in full on the second. Today, I received a disconnection notice for my electric. They are disconnecting my power for being 1 day late! I tried contacting Just Energy by phone and by their chat (a bot).

I held for 3 hours and nobody answered. The bot didn't contact me to anyone either. This is wrong.

I don't know what to do. I paid in full 1 day late and they are disconnecting my service.

First month bill they added charges for "base charge" to my bill without any pre-warning. Second month bill had same charge plus this time they added additional charges for accepting my payment.

I paid using my banks bill pay (Chase Bank). They told me unless I had my account paid using their auto pay system (which bills automatically each month) I would continue to have to pay an extra $4.95 per month. Paying your bill on time with a bank check costs extra with these thieves. No alternative available other than to warn others off them.

I can only guess what next months bill will bring. Stay away from Just Energy.

They are just rip-offs.

just energy has been coming to my house every couple of months for over 3 years even though I have complained to them. I have also complained to the ny consumer protection,bbb,ny attorney general to document they are breaking the law by tresspassing.

I have documented everytime they have come to my home with a camcorder.I have even called the police on them the last 2 times they were at my door. the last time last week they would not leave my property when I asked them to several times.I felt threatened. I think I have more than enough documentation to hire an attorney for tresspassing, taking away the enjoyment of my home, tresspassing and other torts. I think anybody who reads this should also go to your city council meetings to complain in public.

then when other people complain and show up at council meetings they will havt to do something to stop the harassment and the many people going through this can all make these same complaints.

If enough complain something will be done. If enough lawsuits are won against them they will change their ways
