What a ***

My car died. I called an explained that the title was in my name and my ex husbands.

I have court papers that say the car is mine awarded in the divorce. I cannot find the title he signed. I have made numerous calls to find out how to just get rid of it to no avail. Due to calling so many places, I inadvertently called "Junkacar" a second time.

The guy was extremely rude and a real *** about the whole thing. I was trying to ask some questions to see if I had any alternatives and he rudely said I must have the title and hung up on me.

If I ever get this straight, I will definitely not use them. There is no excuse for being so rude.

Customer Service is rude and unprofessional, especially if you don't accept their offer.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was quoted a lower figure than the website says is the minimum. Their explanation is because the car needs to be towed because it's not operational (engine problems), it's a junk car that's why I called you.

Also the reason for the lower price quote is because the website figures are 8 months old and since the scrap metal values have fallen since then, they can only offer current market prices. Ok if that's true either update website figures or state that in big bold letters. Especially since the website gives a minimum and maximum range. The 2 guys I talk to were business courteous until I wanted an explanation regarding lower than the website minimum stated.

At that point the customer service professionalism leaves the equation.

Initially he (Alec I think) disarmed me with the offer that he would take my phone number and have a manager call me back but by the end of the call he rescinded the offer of money and Manager call back. They hung up on me 2 different times, bad custom service plus outdated website equals bad business

JunkaCar.org (no title) Police scam in Los Angeles

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I called JunkaCar.org (Los Angeles) to see what type of offer they would give me on my car that I didn't have the title to. They offered me $2000 - $3000 but I declined the offer. I had given them my VIN# for them to look up with the DMV to insure the car was not stolen.

They certified the car was not stolen. However, I had not been up to date on the registration and because the car was not being driven and was parked on the street, which made it an easy target; several hours later, I heard my car alarm going off as it was being lifted onto a flatbed tow. I ran outside and noticed that the police had picked up my car for impoundment of late registration.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GIVE JunkaCar.org your VIN# especially if your car is untitled. They work with the police to investigate or recover vehicles with NO TITLE!

My guess is that they get a % of money for each vehicle taken by police. They then also get your car if you are unable to pay to get your car out of tow or storage, plus fees..

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Junkacar Com Customer Care Review

Will never use again. Had them scheduled to come to my house to pick up at 9 this morning, never heard from the tow guy.

I had to call him 20 minutes later to be told he had car trouble and that he could come by and pick up the car this afternoon at 3. It is 5:33 PM and I STILL haven't heard anything.

Very unprofessional and unreliable. I wouldnt recommend to anyone!

Junkacar Com Customer Care Review

I called to see if i could junk a car and sat on hold for nearly 20 minutes and was transferred twice, only to be hung up on by one of your representatives after she said i needed a title and didnt let me say anything. How you get any business that way is beyond me so im assuming all these "satisfied customer reviews" on your website are bogus lies that you tell yourselves. Go *** yourselves.

Junkacar LIES!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On their website it says they buy any model in any condition. That is not accurate, at least when it comes to the towing company they use to pick up the car.

My car had a minor amount of flood damage and the ONLY towing company they use in Columbia, South Carolina (Pull-A-Part) doesn't tow water damaged cars. Junkacar even has the gall to post a section at the bottom of their page talking about how they take cars that are flood or water damaged.

I am going to file a complaint today with the Better Business Bureau in regards to their deceitful website.

Do not waste your time! Not reliable at all!

Spent an hour on the phone to set up a pick up, after that wait another 24hours until they call you back. Then the dispatcher gives you a date and time from 8am until 7pm.

So you have to waste your whole day waiting for them if they show at all. They do not give you cash but a check.

So if the check is not good your car is gone, your day is gone and how are you ever going to collect? I Found a local used car lot gave me two hundred dollars more than junkacar in cash no waiting no aggregation!

Junk a Car - Won't pay you

I got my car junked by junk a car October, and STILL have yet to receive my check in April, six months after the transaction. I have called the service hotline at least five times, and the representatives say that it is in the mail when clearly it is not.

Do not use junk-a-car to get rid of your junk car.

Also, they sent me a check for sixty eight dollars a few months ago, and the check bounced. Apparently, the company does not have sixty eight dollars in their business checking account.

They said that they would include in their next check an addition to the amount for the bank's bounced check fee. Needless to say, no one can find a record of this conversation either.
