Junk My Car

Believe me I was skeptical and nervous at first, because there are so many scammer taking advantage of people. But I am please to say, that my experience with Junkmycar.com was seemless.

I looked up the website online, called the toll free number, they took my information and put in touch with a local representative. They didn't mind that my car was in Uvalde (at my son's college) and I was in San Antonio with the title. Within a few hours they were headed to look and evaluate my car.

I set my price and they accepted it. That same day, the broker drove to San Antonio and we met at his banking facility so that I could cash his check immediately and then I handed over my title.

I callwd Monday got a quote and excepted it. They said sineibe would call me to schedule a pick up time and day but no one ever called.

I tried calling the 800 number but couldnt get anyone to answer the phone.

I give this conpany a big thumbs down. Won't recommend them to anyone.

I called on Monday to schedule a pickup, they said their drivers would not be available until Tuesday. Tuesday I wait all day for them to come and get a phone call, I call at 4 to ask if they are still coming, they said they promise they are coming.

At 6 I am on the customer service chat asking whether they are coming or not, they said they might be stuck in traffic, I had to to reschedule again for Wednesday. So that makes the total count of 3 days waiting for them to come, when they bailed on me Tuesday.

Don't even bpother with them. They act like they are giving you this great deal and don't even offer as much as scrap metal prices if your car is less then year 2000.

They offered me $258 on my 94 Mazda B-3000 that has great running mechanicals save for damaged trans. The engine alone that is in perfect running condition will sell for $800-$1200 plus.

They claim to offer fair prices.

I can get twice as much for truck at my local Junk Yard who offered $480.00 first offer. They bassicly offer you junk metal prices.

i made a scheduled appointment with junkmycar.com for them to buy and then pick up my car @ the junk yard. i informed them that the yard closed at 4 pm.

if they could not do it that day (even though they say they do same day delivery) i needed to know that. the lady helping me (Daisy) assured me they would be there by 3:30.( this is after speaking to Daisy 3 times) i went and waited, called them again, at 3:45 to ask where they were and the guy tells me well, i can get there around 4:30 or 5. i was pissed and let him know that that was ridiculous because i told them that i would have to pay another day of storage if i didn't get it out before closing. he got mad at me, and then hung up the phone.

i should have done my homework because others told me of the same experience. one person told me they waited for 6 hours before they finally showed up. they get you but then they don't do what they promise. even though they advertise same day pick up, there policy says within 48 hours.

go figure...anyway, very rude and unreliable. i lucked out though because someone was at the lot and offered to take the car and gave me more money that junkmycar.com offered.

so thank you idiots for screwing up. in the end i couldn't have been happier.
