Poor Customer Service

After a windows update, my hard drive crashed and could not be read by my computer. I contacted Joy Systems for help.

They had me send my computer in for repair/replace. Once I checked the tracking to verify that they had received my computer, I emailed requesting an update. I was emailed back stating that my computer was going through final testing before being sent back to me. This led me to believe that they would be sending my original laptop.

The one they sent back was in horrible condition compared to the original. The computer received had obviously been super glued together and was missing the protective cover over the camera. I had them send to me a new shipping label so that I could send it back. I asked if it were possible to get my original back as I copied the serial number down.

I was told no as it had been sent back into "inventory" The computer they sent back to me a second time still is snot in a great condition as my first o.

Overall all the has been a very frustrating experience. Had I known their intent was to send me such a poor quality laptop back, I would have just made the repairs myself.

Sent the wrong computer

I always buy refurbished computers because I've found the bugs are usually removed. I purchased my latest computer through Overstock.com, and it was refurbished by Joy Systems who sent me a different computer than what I ordered. Among other problems, it wouldn't boot with anything plugged into the front USB ports, and in less than a year of use, it killed itself. I've tried all the boot suggestions Windows 10 told me to try and it didn't like any of them. I've used computers since DOS and this is the worst one I've ever had.

The screen on my all-in-one computer has a white side bar about 3" from top to bottom. My computer sits on my desk all day long... no kids, no playing games, just for work. Joy System said its from pressing on or damage to the screen, not caused by them or by shipping. After two weeks of emails - me asking to speak with a supervisor, and eventually contacting TigerDirect, still nothing. Return emails keep stating the same thing. Left messages, no return phone calls. Customer service is the worst I've even encountered. What is a good bargain if it is defective and they won't honor it?

Bought Dell laptop that was refurbished by joysystems, Joysystems did a wonderful job refurbishing my computer works just fine, no problems, and yes II was expecting problems. Very happy that I bought a used and refurbished laptop

Bought a HP REFURBISHED PC AND IT ARRIVED DEFECTIVE. Short story: Joy Systems, Inc.

refused to help me and dismissed my complaint. Came with a 1 yr.

warranty and when I took it to Best BUY they tried to repair it but found the manufacturer had not agreed to reimburse BB so they returned it to me with an apology, however they are looking into dropping Joy System, INC. from their online website because of their indifference.

PC delivered 8/25/20 in great condition. Looked brand new and shrink wrapped! Setup was easy for me, and this was the first time I had installed one. Working well. It has an annoying little "humming" sound the whole time it's on. I called tech support and was told because it's coming from the back of the PC, it's from my power source.

Got a Dell laptop for my birthday never worked right. Was always freezing up and then just stopped working. Can not get it to turn on at all. Contacted customer service by email since they do not let you get a hold of an actual person on the phone and of course it is out of "warranty" and I have to take it to someone else to fix. This item hasn't been used very much for it not to work and then for me to have to pay out of pocket to fix. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING THROUGH THIS COMPANY! They sell *** stuff.

there are a few minor hiccups I've experienced since receiving my HP laptop a few days ago. It's nothing I'd consider a major concern. Being it's refurbished, I'm absolutely ecstatic about my pc. I wanted a laptop for about 20yrs now, and glad I did wait to make the purchase because I wanted a laptop I could use for gaming. Other than needing a bigger HD, it over kills my need. Thank you for the wonderful work you do. Stay safe.

My Laptop is covered by the Joy systems warranty from when it was shipped to me.

After endless calls over three days and repeatably checking to see if their Web pages were back up their phone answered. The technician was polite and knowledgeable. I was told that even though the literature with the new laptop said I needed to register it with Joy...

Purchased an HP 640 G2 from Office Depot. Or at least I thought it was Office Depot.

The Laptop came from Joy Systems. It looks new and works great. The instructions that came with it said to "Register" the laptop with Joy Systems. I assume I need to do this to have me one year of coverage.

For two days none of the Joy web pages will open (this is a Computer company). I can not get a living person at (877) JOY-8808. The message says all Techs are helping others, then the operating hours are listed. When one calls during hours Joy Systems is closed, one gets told "All Techs
are helping others" .

It is clear this message is not triggered by all the Techs helping anyone but Joy has set up their phone system so they can just turn on this "go away" message.

They want to sound like they are "helpful" when in reality lying to customers indicated serious integrity problem. If I can not contact them to "Register" my Laptop, what do I do when I have a Warranty issue with my Laptop?

Purchased reburb PC from Staples; listing said 1 year warranty with no indication the warranty would be through a fly-by-night such as this. Item does not work, after finally making contact, was told they would send a replacement unit; however, they sent a 10-year-old disc drive and expected us to install ourselves!

Staples says they have no control over them, website doesn't work; same issues as other with getting someone to answer phone. Definitely NOT the kind of service I would expect from someone endorsed by/connected with Staples
