I hired Jose De Leon and his crew and it was a nightmare. He used cheap wood on my floors.
He smoked and drank while working. He took almost a month to complete the job. His crew urinated in water bottles and left them in my garage. His crew stole items I had in my garage.
They used my recently cleaned fireplace to burn pieces of my hardwood floors.
They tell their customers to purchase more material than needed then steal them and use them for resell. I hope my experience with these thieves will help others not to hire them.

Took the money, didn't do the job
We hired Jose DeLeon, a local contractor, to refinish our hardwood floors. He and his worker, Daniel, showed up late -- fifteen minutes the first Monday, two and a half hours by Wednesday, and so on.
The sanding job on the parquet floor was uneven, with bits of the old finish left behind across the entire floor. Fixing this added an extra day to the project.
When Jose arrived on Thursday, when the floor was supposed to be complete, there were already gouges from the dog's toenails, and the floor was a weird, high gloss instead of the satin finish agreed on in the contract.
He said he'd be back on Friday, at 9 a.m., to fix the floor. He did not show up, and will not answer his phone. We are out our $700 deposit and have to hire a new person to fix the mess left behind.
We're incredibly unhappy with him, his company, and his "work." By posting this, I hope others will avoid being put in this position.
