Worst company to deal with for Long Term Care,

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - CSR laughed and spoke condescendingly.
  • - I'm trying to reopen a claim, but they won't make an exception for my father, a 25-year customer on a fixed budget.

CSR laugh at you talk condescending. I am trying to get a claim reopened, and they will not make an expection to help in order to get my father paid.

He had been a customer for 25 years with them. They have given us such a hard time from the beginning of the claim to this.

My father is on a fixed budget and cannot keep paying out of his own funds adn having to wait for reimbursement.

User's recommendation: Do not use them unless you like dealing with difficulty

MSG CAUSED SERIOUS MIGRAINE

AI Highlights
  • - Johnsonville Cheddar Bratwurst reportedly caused a serious migraine due to MSG.
  • - An ER visit occurred, with time, pain, and suffering.

Johnsonville Cheddar Bratwurst caused a serious migraine because of the msg content. What is wrong with this company?

They must know that msg causes serious issues and that it doesn't improve their product. I am amazed at their indifference to their very customers' well being. It is well documented that MSG is a direct cause of migraines. I usually read labels before I ear but I had respect for this company and put my trust in them.

As a result I was admitted into the ER to treat the migraine.

My wife had to drive me. This cost me time, pain, and suffering which has no price.

MSG Laden Johnsonville Brats

AI Highlights
  • - I am appalled by MSG in Johnsonville Brats.
  • - I asked Johnsonville to revise ingredients; MSG is unnecessary and linked to numerous health issues.
Updated by user Jun 21, 2011

Fortunately since my posting i\'ve been on the lookout for other brats that don\'t contain MSG or Sodium Nitrite and i\'ve found several. I did notice that one of the comments I had read mentioned that Johnsonville has some Brats that don\'t have MSG.

I have yet to find them.

And the new chicken ones that they are advertising also have sodium nitrite. Needless to say that i\'ll be staying away from the Johnsonville line.

Original review May 21, 2011

I am very appalled at the flagrant use of this toxic chemical Mono sodium Glutamate (MSG)within the Johnsonville Brat family of sausages. I contacted Johnsonville in regard to this issue and asked if they could possibly revise their ingredients for the Johnsonville Brat line.

The inclusion of MSG within the sausage is unnecessary to make great tasting sausage and more importantly it causes NUMEROUS health issues. Things such as Cardiac Arrhythmia's, Depression, Seizures, Irritable bowel, Chest pain, headaches, rash, etc. I would have assumed that the company would understand and would have an interest in protecting the buyers of their product. However, it doesn't seem to be the case.

I realize that there are numerous other products on the market that also contain MSG. I figured Johnsonville would rise above them and be more socially responsible, but i guess not.

Needless to say, I do not purchase their products any longer. Protect yourself and read the ingredient labels people and stay healthy.

I get migraines every time from MSG brats and I regard Johnsonville's refusal to remove it from their brats as an admission that the product cannot stand on its own without MSG.

I live in Canada and I read the packaging before purchase to see if they contained MSG. In Canada its required by law that you label MSG.

So today I contacted the Canada Food Inspection Agency and logged a formal complaint on the issue. So expect a huge recall Johnsonville.

The product is labeled properly. If you don't feel like reading the ingredients, tough luck.

If you don't want the ingredients in the product don't buy it. Expecting the company to change a very successful recipe for a small number of consumers... is laughable. The world doesn't revolve around you.

If you can make a better sausage, than DO it. Even if it's just for your personal consumption.

(I've actually tried, it's not as easy as you might think.)

Yes, I understand that MSG can be a problem for lots of people. But MOST people don't have a problem with it in small amounts.

AMEN!!!

Guest

I was getting severe migraine headaches until I discontinued consuming foods with MSG and the words 'Natural flavoring' in the label. MSG is a natural occuring flavoring...it's in Parmsean Cheese and in yeasts.

Guest

The brats that they label...no msg added contain this instead...Yeast extract...which contains an amount of naturally occurring glutamic acid or monosodium glutamate. :(

Johnsonville ought to be sued! Those *** commericials showing the kids and guy playing at a cookout, "Natural cuts of beef" being deliberately emphasized on the packaging in order to fool consumers. The execs should be made to eat their own ***!

Guest

Johnsonville makes some brats without MSG so just buy them it says right on the package.

I had only a small portion of a Johnsonville brat and 2:00 this morning woke up with rapid heart rate , labored breathing and horrendous HIVES! Also runny stool.

Why, in God's name is this chemical in our food? The list of side effects is endless.

It is pure insanity what these companies are putting in the food supply. :(
