My fiance went through a horrible divorce as we all know can be. This so called law firm did not "work" for him.

Example: He gets every other year holidays. Well..... this lawyer, Melissa, allowed him to sign paperwork stating that Thanksgiving on his year the child had to be brought home on Thanksgiving Day 12 noon, Christmas the child had to be home Christmas Eve by 9:00, New Years the child had to be home 5:00 p.m. New Years Eve and was allowed to return the following day 9:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m. REALLY? So the mother is allowed all holidays.

This is only a FRACTION of what his so called lawyer did NOT do to help this man. DO NOT hire this group!

Jodat law gruop is a rip off. Melanie and cristy are a total joke.

Theyvare your best friend until you pay then no communication no legal advise.

I called my doctor about medication problem and was told mr medical assistant she had talked to doctor and he said the problem was not related to medication. Three days later i got a call from doctor stating he just found out about the call and i needed to stop medication immediatly and come into office for testing

I had Melanie (only) for my bankruptcy also, i didnt have any issues with them, only thing i didnt particularly care for was, on the day of my hearing, i drove up to Tampa and no one was there for my case, i had some chick sit in for Jodat and she didnt know *** about my case. She had nothing, and didnt say a word on my behalf, i did all the speaking.

However i did win the case and sued creditors for harassment, i just would have liked to have THE ATTORNEY IM PAYING TO DEFEND ME BE PRESENT. That did *** me off!

Horrible experience. Hire someone else.

I had to fire Jodat in their Venice office. Every time I phoned I got some office manager who knew about 2 or 3 sentences.

I complained for months about shoulder pain and of course my $10 grand was gone to a a terrible Dr Shortt who charged $800 for 2 visits and he barely touched me. I was still in shock by the lady who me on a crosswalk who received 5 tickets!! I then was sent to a chiropractor who didn't do anything but eat up the rest of my PIP. This story stops with a new Attorney, rotator & bicep surgery.

Advice: AVOID JODAT LAW GROUP!!! Run run run

I came to them in need and vulnerable. I wanted my child back and to divorce my husband.

They did not help in fact I think this young non aggression female attorney with no experience gave the opposing counsel the upper hand purposely- to let them win. I started out with a male attorney and he passed me to this female attorney without letting me know. Two mediations and over 6,000 dollars!!

I was so ripped off, THEY DID NOT CARE ABOUT ME AND LET THE MORE EXPERIENCED ATTORNEY WIN- HOW SAD THAT I WENT TO THESE RIP OFF ARTISTS! LOSERS- DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!

Drafted a hand written settlement agreement during a deposition !

Calls her brother in a nj police officer to see what he says the pension will give me?( 2 yrs later Ian still in court why cause of no compliance!? She is incompetent and a liar!!

All I can say is, after sitting on my bankruptcy case for well over a year, it seems once Jodat has their money, they could care less about their client. Only when I finally told them I was coming into the office to personally handle this, did I get an email a day later stating the creditors released the case and the government side was tying up the loose ends--akin to, "the check is in the mail." Otherwise, they blamed the government for holding on to my paperwork and sitting on it.

I suppose had I not mentioned personal involvement, I would STILL be waiting for my case to close. I will NEVER use them again and would not refer them to my worst enemy.

Melanie and her team (Laurie and Kristin) are woefully inadequate in their communication skills by leaving their clients in the dark and not responding to emails and especially phone calls in a timely manner--lets say a week or two later or whenever they got around to it, and sometimes it took two or three transmissions before they would care to respond.

We hired Jodat Law Group to help our family. The charged us $2000 and never bothered to show up in court, they had a sub lawyer show up and he said nothing we had to say everything.

They offered us no council and to top it off they lost our paperwork and then claimed the court lost it.

They did call to have us run around to redo everything and never responded to request for an update or never returned phone calls. This company is only interested in how much money they can get from you, you can do a batter job on your own and save your money.

I hired this firm for a family law matter. Signed contract of a flat fee $1,000.00. Gave them $500.00 up front. The lawyer Kallen Eslich, showed up to court 2 hours late! The judge was very upset and had to put court in recess as we waited and waited for Kallen to show up. I had to call the law office to find out what was going on.

After that day in court, I emailed him to ask him about the next step we were going to take. No response. I had to email and call them several more times over a few week period & finally got an email back stating what he was going to file. I asked when it was going to be filed. Of course, again I never recieved a response. I expressed my concern about my case and how I feel they are not devoting the needed time to me the client, to answer some simple questions.

The next thing I know, I get a letter from the law office stating that they put in a motion to withdraw them as my counsel! I was shocked. Then to top it all off, they sent me a bill for $1500.00. I've called several times now to inquire about this nonsense, and of course, once again, no response.

I am filing a case against this firm for being negligent, erranous billing and most of all...legal malpractice.
