Ridiculously difficult to remove your account

AI Highlights
  • - Applied via Jobvite per employer.
  • - 6 months, no response; I closed the account.
  • - Removing the account is difficult; it requires company forms.

I applied to a position through jobvite (because it was required by the employer), and after 6 months without having any response at all I decided to close the account. Then is when I find out how difficult is to remove the account.

- You have to fill a form that is prepared for companies, not particulars. - You should again provide all your data, because you do this from outside your profile. - Now you have to wait till they accept.

- I am still waiting so I do not know how long it will take. Creating the profile was extremely easy, but then you can not get rid of them.

They finally answered very fast to my request and removed the account the very same day. Anyway I keep the complaint because of the fact that you can not do it yourself, making the process more complicated and unclear.

Jobvite: Unqualified to hire qualified candidates. Your ''picker'' doesn't work, perhaps it's time you do...

AI Highlights
  • - Jobvite's note says they pursued candidates who fit the requirements.
  • - The applicant felt qualified and would not apply again through Jobvite.

I normally let it go and am not bothered by ''reject letters'' after submitting my resume, but when I received a (below) response from Jobvite, I could not stop shaking my head in disbelief. I was more than qualified for the position I had applied, and I have the precise experience and requirements listed for the job, so I knew something was whack.

The ''reject form letter'' from the Jobvite Recruiting staff:

Thanks for sharing your background and for your interest in ''Company XYZ'".. Our team has reviewed your resume and we have decided to pursue other candidates who fit our requirements more precisely. If you have applied for another opening at XYZ, your application will be considered separately.

My response:

Dear Jobvite,

Thanks for sharing your inadequate and highly flawed background with me. Your lack of interest in hiring qualified candidates is appalling and contemptuous to say the least. My team has reviewed your lame-a$$, good-for-nothing company and have decided to pursue other employers who fit our requirements more precisely.

If I am prompted to apply for another opening via Jobvite, I will not waste my time submitting an application. I consider you as a whole group of impertinent, detestable creatures unsuitable and incapable of reading anything other than the numbers on your fraudulent pay check.

If by chance you actually (were able) to read this far, good luck to you and your worthless job.

Jobvite.com: clickjacking and UI redirecting attempts

AI Highlights
  • - Jobvite collects CVs with no data-handling guarantees and is linked to clickjacking and UI redirects.
  • - Zendesk and others use Jobvite to save money.

24th of Feb, 2014 by User70310

Not only jobvite.com and hire.jobvite.com are involved in privacy violation by collecting CV and resumes without any guarantee for the users about the way their confidential data are managed and stored but they also are involved in CLICK JACKING and UI redirecting. These practices are well known methods used by hackers to get access to users systems and compromise or infect them.

jobvite.com is used by some low ethic start-ups or small companies like Zendesk (who are also heavily involved in privacy violation and click jacking attempts) who hope to save money by using cheap solutions like jobvite.

In reality, the only thing that jobvite.com provides is unsafe experience and cheap candidates, therefore cheap employees for cheap companies...

The problem is that nowadays, unscrupulous companies would do anything to save money, including using dubious practices instead of paying for ethical and professional better services..
