No Social Distancing and Other Problems
- - Requested indoor seating but sat near outdoor bar.
- - Steak took ~2 hours, was overcooked and spicy; vegetables undercooked; safety concerns noted.
Went to this Restaurant for Dinner around 4 PM, and asked for Indoor Dining, but was seated right next to the outdoor bar. Asked to change tables, as none were really indoors as they claim, since one entire wall is open.
Ordered a steak dinner, and after waiting for almost 1 hour I finally received my meal, but was unable to eat it.
It was very spicy, the meat was overcooked, but the vegetable was basically raw, as they only had 1 vegetable to choose from. Spoke to the Server, who took the meal away, and returned about 1/2 hour later claiming he had washed my meat and other items, and heated them back up. The meal was worse than it was originally, so I asked to order something else, and this time ordered a chicken salad. While I was waiting, a couple was seated right next to me, so we were back to back, with no social distancing whatsoever, so I moved to the other side of the table while I waited for my food.
After about another 1/2 hour, and numerous excuses from the Server, and talking to the Manager, who aside from saying he was sorry, made it quite clear that he simply did not care, about the food or lack of social distancing.
Finally, after almost 2 hours in the Restaurant, I finally received my food, so asked for take-out as a result. Not only was washing my food unsanitary due to the Coronavirus, but Pinellas County has both mask and social distancing rules, which this Restaurant failed to abide by.
Needless to say, I am not going back there again, but also think that the local Health Department needs to be aware of this situation, as it is not an ethical way to do business.
Preferred solution: Wear masks, social distance, and do not wash food after it has been served.
