AI Highlights
  • - Contract signed over three months ago with poor follow-through.
  • - Install was delayed; refunds were not promptly handled, with harassing texts.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I wrote her a final notice to refund the deposit within two weeks or court proceedings would ensue. She complied by returning the $800 one day late but nonetheless, she did refund the deposit.

A lack of follow through and broken business relationship. In that, the contract was signed and dated for over three months.

I was advised that the screens would take up to six weeks to be delivered followed by an installation shortly after.
Once owner received the screens approximately the week of May 12, 2024, owner and I set a date of installment for June 1, 2024, because owner stated that she had a travel engagement. Owner texted a message the evening before on May 31, 2024, sharing that due to an emergency, her installer was unable to install as scheduled and she would call that same day.
I neither received a call that day nor up to over two weeks until I contacted owner for a refund. I was met with fury and disrespect. Not to mention, constant text messages and harassment after I had informed owner that I was working and would return a call to speak with her once I was available.

The HOA manager shared with me that once she phoned owner and mentioned my name, owner went on a rampage with the HOA manager, as well. In addition, owner continued to text me while slandering my character throughout the evening well into the night.
Loss:
$800
Pros:
  • Appears very respectful to gain business
Cons:
  • Very unprofessional and disrespectful

Preferred solution: Full refund
