Terrible with claims, cannot get someone on phone. Good price but when it comes time for a claim when you need them; terrible.

Terrible company

My home was robbed and items were stolen. Upon contact with Jibna (which is near impossible because they either don't answer their phones or NEVER return a call) I was given the run around repeatedly. After months of back and forth and being spoken down to - they refused to pay for the stolen items. Almost two years have now passed, going back and forth with this company. I've never dealt with this type of treatment - especially when I've paid for insurance and they refuse to actually honor the policy and help me when the time comes. We currently have a lawsuit against them. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Absolute worst company I've ever had the displeasure of encountering! Nothing but rude unpleasant staff! Their website is very misleading, and so are their policy's. They are replacement only which is fine, however when they agreed to insure me they did not say that... all of my jewelry is custom and not easily remade... would have been nice if they required me to provide more than one picture! Their lab was extremely difficult to work with! I finally gave up trying to get the details correct because they wouldn't listen!!! I said as long as the weight of the stones and gold are correct I'll accept anything... they couldn't even get that right. Weeks after I received the underwhelming replacements (the stones were off by quite a few carats) I get the appraisals that were inaccurate and I'm my opinion a scam! I contacted the "jewler" that did the appraisals several times and never got a call back. When I called JIBNA to complain again I was told to stop calling! I would be here all day and night trying to write down every bad thing I encountered with this terrible company. These were just some of the highlights... lesson learned is to Google reviews before you choose you're insurance provider! I did and it seems I'm not the only one they scammed!!!! How are they even in business with the way they treat their customers!? After reading other reviews on this site... some sort of lawsuit should be filed... at the very least the insurance commissioner should be contacted

JIBNA has no gemological experience and makes tons of false claims on their website and use the website JCRS to promote fear and false information. This insurance company should be shut down and is the least respected in the gemological community.

I've had the same experience with Jibna. They are terrible and do not honor claims.

We had a robbery and they refuse to honor the policy.

I was rarely ever able to get hold of anyone to help me and when I did, I was spoken down to and once yelled at.

I currently have a lawsuit with this company.

Horrible Insurance Company

My insurance policy specifically stated that anything new purchased was covered within 30 days of purchase, but when we had problems with a new purchase a week after purchase, JIBNA informed us over the phone that "we were welcome to file a claim, but that they weren't going to pay out on it." A complete scam of an insurance company. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. The option provided to me was to send my wife's valuable jewelry across the country via UPS to have them examine it. No thanks, especially if you've already informed me that you refuse to payout on my claim before you've even seen the item.

Poor Qaulity Replacement Stone

JIBNA was my insurance carrier when, after an inspection of my engagement ring , it was discovered that one of my side trapezoid diamonds was chipped. My diamond replacement process was excruciatingly slow . I felt that the " ball was being dropped" at every turn. It turned into a 3 month ordeal that left me anxious about my ring being returned in good condition. After an inspection by my trusted local Jeweler , I was informed about ( AND shown ) the blatant inferior quality of the replacement stone. After a seemingly endless circle of denial , I decided to cut my losses and chalk the whole thing up to a horrible experience . I wrote a scathing letter of complaint to the owner , as well as verbally describe my utter dissatisfaction to the lab that was contracted to provide the replacement. NOBODY CARED ! BEWARE !

JIBNA Jewelry Insurance

I have been a paying customer for over 10 years with the jewelry insurance company JIBNA. Recently, my diamond I've had for 26 years fell out of the setting and they would not cover it!!! They said it was my fault due to wear and tear. So I guess I'm not allowed to wear my ring! What is the purpose of paying for and having insurance if I'm just going to be denied. Do not use this company if you need to cover your expensive jewelry. They will take your money and then not cover you and they cancelled me within weeks of my filing a claim.
