Poor communication leading up to the vacation date, so I became worried. I had seen good reviews of the resort, plus flipkey, etc.; however, "after" I paid in full, I dug up the HORRIBLE reviews of the rental company itself. I felt foolish but had already paid in full and was past the refund date. With this in mind, I shared my concerns (once I FINALLY reached John), and I was reassured repeatedly that my reservation was good to go. We drove 10 hours thru storms to arrive on 6/24/17 to find that he was nowhere to be found, would not answer texts or phone calls; the resort could not reach him and neither could his cleaning crew. There we were...6 of us parked in the parking lot next to a guard shack, with NOWHERE TO GO on a Saturday evening, during one of the busiest weeks of the year. The condo had not been cleaned; we had no access anyway. Come to find out, this had happened to others the same day. I filed a police report immediately. I worked tirelessly with my bank etc. to secure funds and make fraud complaints. The following business day, (Monday, today June 27th, 2017) a business associate of JG's called to inform me that JG had just been arrested, and was "on his way to booking." I was encouraged to make my way to the police station before we departed for home to sign some papers and file charges. I have been assigned an investigator who is handling the case but have not yet spoken to him. Now...for some "good news." Long Beach Resort was where we were to stay. The staff there was mortified that this had happened to us, but sadly, informed us that we were not the only ones, even before the day of our arrival. The property manager made some calls to friends in the area to find us a place to stay. A friend of his from iTrip Vacations, Whitney, has taken such good care of us - it has been so incredibly unbelievable how much she has done to accommodate us for a full week. I mean, TRULY take care of us! I have been in constant contact with Whitney since the debacle. There are indeed angels on earth, as Long Beach's property manager, and iTrip Vacation's Whitney saved our vacation. This is our last family vacation before daughter leaves for college and son leaves for the air force! "John" from JGs Beachside not only destroys family vacations; he also destroys memories (and wallets). I don't know what happens next regarding his business future, but should you run across an opportunity to rent from this company...RUN.

Well, after making our reservation for Spring Break this year I decided to read the reviews. Talk about a little panic...geez... Since we made our reservations far in advance I decided to periodically stay in touch with John regarding our stay. I mentioned the bad reviews and he acknowledged them but assured me in every conversation that my family and I would have an excellent stay. He also mentioned that he handles over 800 per year by himself. I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing. We met John at Edgewater and he took us up to the 11th floor unit. It had two decks facing the ocean, one off the kitchen/breakfast area and a large wrap around deck off the living area that went all the way around to the large master bdr. It was a 3 bdr/3bth and approximately 3000 sq ft in total. Obviously, the family loved it and we stayed for the week. We had a great time and will contact John again on our next trip down.

We had a condo rented from John also, terrible news. We rented a condo on one floor, ended up on a totally different floor, different condo. They really are bad management. Will never do this again. Got to the condo we rented and they said they had sold that condo, so there we stood at the door trying to get into someone else's room. How embarrassing. This was in June 2016. Ruined our vacation for that summer. The condo they put us in had the ceiling coming in in one of the rooms, plus other things wrong. we will never call this company again, we have stayed in Panama City every summer for the past 20 plus years, will never stay here again.

Saw what seems to be nice condos through John. Talked to him on the phone to reserve a condo at Longbeach Resort. Well that was 11 days ago. He has $500 for the deposit but has yet to send any agreement or paperwork via email that was to be sent same night I paid. He has an excuse and never emailed anything. I haven't signed anything and our week isn't blocked out on the calendar. Said if I cancel he keeps $250. Can't cancel something that hasn't even been booked or legally reserved. Went to the bank today to dispute the charge so we will see. He is obviously a *** man and wonder how long Panama City Beach is going to let him get away with stealing from people especially being out of state. Contacting the Chamber of Commerce next as well.

He hired me to do condo cleans and refused to pay me. On top of that he never had linens ready ted in wet they would just sit there and rot in his office bagged with wet linens. He is an alcoholic and would constantly leave his office to go out and drink locking me out to where I couldnt get fresh linens to service the condo cleans. I would call him telling him I couldnt get the linens and he would say no worries Ill get them. Then the customer that would check into the condo I couldnt get clean linens to he would blame it on me and even have the nerve to yell at me about it.

I worked for this company, and to be absolutely honest I stayed there because I needed the income. John the owner hired me I performed above and beyond as I liked to put myself in the client s shoes, and make their vacation a smooth transaction and experience. I saw this business had several bad reviews, and thought well maybe i can help this place turn around by working hard. After working for around a week I noticed John who owns the business was shaking and acting disoriented. I went behind the office building and found several empty miniature alcohol bottles. Eureka! now I know why this guy cant run a business, and quite frankly never remembered any phone calls concerning reports of condo disrepair, and of course I was blamed for customer complaints. I then learned to text any issues to him so it was in undeniable text form with proof of being sent. When he would call me and hire me for condo cleans he would call me the day of instead of the day before so I could be prepared. He would call me and tell me the time he needed me at the office...I would arrive on time but he was always 45 minutes to an hour late. After a few weeks of working for him I called asking why I hadnt heard from him concerning more work. He lied and told me he had hired a woman who had a disabled child out of pity, and he would call as soon as he had more work. Later on that same day he called in a panic saying that many condo renters were calling in upset saying their condo hadnt been cleaned and had dirty linens. To say the least it was embarrassing to arrive, and see someone visibly upset when this was supposed to be a relaxing vacation they checked into a filthy condo instead. I called John absolutely horrified with what I was finding. I was like who in the heck did this? He told me he had hired his landscaper to clean...(no poor woman with a disabled child had been hired) Turns out the *** lost my contact info as he never stores phone numbers or has them written down so instead he just tosses work to whomever is around. I came to condos with women bawling because they were on their honeymoon and they found dirty condoms in the soap dish of the condo shower.He refuses to pay people back for their troubles he lies to rental clients and he steals from condo owners not to mention doesnt pay his employees. He is seriously thee most strange person Ive probably ever met in my entire life...no kidding... One time he cussed me out on the phone after I had reported 4 condos needing professional window cleans from actual window cleaners. The next day when I went to collect my paycheck (after calling 40 times and staking him out by sitting in my car by his business) I mentioned that he had cussed me out...he replied "And your point is?" This guy is a *** artist. Go ahead go to any condo building on the beach. Ask anyone working there about his business, and they will just look down, and shake their head. He refuses to do his job or pay anyone that has worked for him. He will take your money, and wont refund!!! I mean you could find a dead body in your rental. If youre lucky he might have it removed but still will make you stay in it.

I have booked twice this year with JGs at Panama City. Both bookings went without hitch and were very enjoyable. Clean room, excellent facilities at Edgewater. Earlier stay was at Long Beach Resort. I rented a scooter and had room in the gated area to park it and my car. Might take a jet ski next trip as there was plenty of room at back of parking lot. Close walking distance to Pineapple Willys, Walmart, and Applebees. Outdoor grill came in handy as I was down for a week and got tired of eating out. I will definitely be coming back to Panama City and relying on JGs for a room. 5 star. Jim

We rented a four bedroom condo in Edgewater Resort in November 2015 for July 23 - 30th, 2016. We made our final payment in March for the condo. On July 14th, I called to get some questions answered about the condo and arrival. It took a lot of phone calls, emails, and text messages before someone called me back. I started to be a little concerned because the number they gave on their answering machine was the same number I had been leaving messages. On the 18th of July, I received a phone message that the condo was no longer for rent. JG's said they had a dispute with the owner that morning and had a parting of ways. They could offer me another condo at Edgewater that was not in the towers, had a recent terrible review, and was very far away from the rest of my family staying at there. I asked for the owner of the condo's name and phone number. They did not spell the name correctly or give me the right phone number. I figured if the dispute just happened the owner may still be willing to rent to me. On Wednesday, I was still so upset that I called the company that had rented us that same four bedroom condo two years ago. I explained what happened and they were able to give me the name and an email address of the owner. I emailed the owner that day and received a phone call from him the next morning. He said they had a parting of ways in JANUARY!!! Evidently, he had the same impression of John. He wasn't an honest man. Though the owner had already booked the original condo we wanted, he went out of his way to help us get another condo in the towers at Edgewaters. We told John, from JG's, we would come by on Saturday to pick up our money. When we arrived his office was closed. When we called John had excuses why he couldn't return our money that day. After several frustrating calls, he agreed to meet us outside our condo. We finally received our money back! No one should have to go through that experience in planning a vacation.

Jg beach side rentals ,, Panama city beach. This is the worst condo management company we have ever book with. We stayed at long beach and aside from our room flooding we had 2 woman that knocked on our door after 12 am looking for John. We called the office and they said it was a mistake and they had the wrong room. my guess is that they were seedy. Please dont ever book a room with this company. The room was dirty with sand and the balcony was diry all of which we complained about but not call back. We are going to file a report with bbb too.
