Jewelmint rocks!!!!

I don't know what some of these reviewers are rating but it's not Jewelmint! I've been buying from them for a few years (it's been my go-to gift resource) and I have absolutely no complaints!! I have been more than happy with the service, quality and the point system is incredible. I've gotten many beautiful items at no cost at all!! I love this company and am wondering what's happened to them... As I've done for several years, I've been trying to get on their site to do some Christmas shopping but can no longer get on their site. Have they gone out of business???

VERY unhappy with this company!

I received an offer from MyPoints (a GREAT service!) offering me points on my account for placing an order on JewelMint. I placed an order on 6/14/2013 for a bracelet for my wife. I wasn't aware that I was also signing up for some type of subscription service until I was charged $29.99 to my credit card on 8/06/2013. When I called to cancel this subscription and have my $29.99 refunded, they refused to refund my money, telling me about their terms and conditions. I'll never purchase another item from them again, and I'll inform MyPoints of the company they're aligning themselves with.

Hello!

I just wanted to take the time to explain how JewelMint works. After the first credit card purchase that enrolls you in our preferred membership where you can either "skip the month" or a monthly store credit is placed into your account. Skipping the month is very easy! You would just have to log into your account and click "skip the month" in the top right hand corner between the 1st-5th. Once you click that link and confirm the skip, you are not billed anything! There is never an obligation to pay and essentially the membership can be completely free.

If you wanted to read further into our membership it is explained in a paragraph disclaimer directly under the "purchase" button at checkout, on your confirmation email after your first purchase, our promotional emails as well as our FAQs, Terms of Service and How it works page.

Other benefits of our membership include a personalized showroom based on the style quiz our customers take at sign up. Keep in mind, that all products are available for purchase. You do not have to solely pick from your showroom selection. We also offer Mintsider rewards points after each purchase you make on our site.You receive 10 points for each dollar you spend. These points can be redeemed for free merchandise. Similarly, customers can rack up Style Points by reviewing a product, becoming a member, pinning a product etc.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased a wrist watch from JewelMint (CHEAP looking Generic junk). At no time during my purchase did I see anything that stated I was enrolling in a membership, let alone having my bank account information used again and again for further charges. I was charges $29.99 for two months before I realized that they were charging me fraudulently (without my permission). They make it very difficult to cancel. I am still trying to cancel. STAY AWAY! BEWARE! MAJOR RIPOFF!At no time during my purchase did I see anything that stated I was enrolling in a membership, let alone having my bank account information used again and again for further charges.

Correct Street Number Needed/Returned to Sender

First of all I just wanted to state that this has happened to me TWICE now. First time it happened they sent me a postcard saying that they were trying to get a hold of the correct street address and that they WOULD SEND ME A POSTCARD TO MY SHIPPING ADDRESS! If they have the address which they can send the postcard too why can't they send me my package? Answer: INCOMPETENT DRIVERS! Also that postcard said that I had 1 week which is fair BUT I got the postcard A DAY AFTER THAT WEEK WAS UP! So my items, which I had only been contacted ONCE got sent back to sender. Second time, I HAD CHECKED ONLINE, it said again that it'll send me a postcard. I never got any postcard and seeing as it is Christmas Eve I don't believe I'll receive it anytime soon. YET AGAIN PACKAGE GOT SENT BACK TO SENDER! WHAT THE *** IS UP WITH UPS?! HOW CAN THEY SEND ME "POSTCARDS", NOT ACTUALLY CONTACT ME IN ANY HELPFUL MANOR (IN WHICH DOESN'T INVOLVE MYSELF TRACKING MY ITEMS ON MY OWN), AND YET NOT HAVE THE CORRECT STREET ADDRESS?! Both packages were gotten from sites that I had gotten packages from BEFORE that were DELIVERED to my house properly! Both packages were ALSO items that were limited or on clearance, hence why I bought them online rather than in-store! So now I can't get ANY of the items that I paid good money for!

Now, I am assuming you had the packaged delivered to Canada and not within the USA. We depend on Canada Post to deliver all our packages to our loyal customers. Jewelmint's Customer Service Has Gone Downhill

I've been a Jewelmint customer since they started up, and was very happy overall with the products. I recently ordered a ring and when it arrived it had a big scratch on the top. I also wasn't super thrilled with the quality on that one, so I contacted customer service by email and they apologized and assured me that they would send out a free return label and as soon as the ring came back, they would gladly replace with the other ring that I preferred. I sent the ring back with the original invoice and specified in HUGE letters the item I wanted to exchange it for. After a few days, I received a note saying they had replaced the defective ring for another one of the exact same style (the one I DIDN'T want. I sent them yet another email and explained that I wanted an exchange for a different item and that I had made that very clear on the return form. They told me since the ring had already been sent out they would send yet ANOTHER return label and they would send me the item I wanted as soon as they got it back. I asked if there was anything I could do to prevent this mess in the future and he told me "well, you should just exchange it for the same model". The same day I got the unwanted replacement I sent it back AGAIN specifying what I wanted in exchange. I just discovered the item I wanted has since sold out. I am cancelling my subscription this month. It's not worth the hassle to buy from them.

Although Member Credits are universal to all our Mints, all returns for Credits will be returned in the original Mint type. Please keep in mind that returns for Member Credits are at JewelMint's discretion and only offered on full-priced items. Sale and promotional items must be returned for the original method of payment or a Mint product of equal value. Exclusions may apply and some products are final sale. A restocking fee of $4.95 may apply.

In your situation, we were unable to send you the replacement piece you requested because it was worth more than the original ring you purchased. Keep in mind that your original reason for contacting us was due to quality, since we stand by our products, we sent you a replacement for the same ring. Apparently you had a change of mind and were requesting a different piece of jewelry priced at a higher value. I would like to invite you to visit JewelMint.com and give us another try. I purchased some bracelets that from this company online. After like three weeks, they charged me $29.99. I waited for the business to open and gave them a call. I sat on hold for about 15 minutes because they had "so many" callers. Probably calling all about the same thing. When someone actually picks up the phone, she is so rude. She(Whitney) makes it sound like its my fault and told me that I didn't read the disclaimer before I purchased the item. She stated that in the "disclaimer", it states that it will automatically charge you $29.99 a month..wtf! For what?? She then told me she would credit me back and then hung up on me with no confirmation or anything. If I don't see the credit back on my card within a week, I'm writing a complaint with someone higher up. I wrote a claim with my bank just to make sure I get my money back. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Your first credit card purchase activated your preferred membership; however, you are not obligated to purchase each month. Once your preferred membership is active, you have between the 1st and 5th of each month to Skip the Month to avoid being charged. Simply go to www.jewelmint.com/account settings and click the “Skip" button on the left within those first five days. If you elect to skip the month or you make a purchase, you will NOT be charged or receive your monthly member credit. Since you did not Skip you received a member credit valid for one year from date of issue and can be used to make purchases across all our other Mints such as ShoeMint.com, StyleMint.com and IntiMint.com.
