Definitely a place to visit when touring WDC assuming your a seafood lover. My experience will not prevent me from returning and should not prevent you from doing the same.
Just wanted to comment on the crab soap I purchased.
Disappointed with the quality in ordering a small cup that was way too salty and had no crab. Would not recommend to anyone who expects the taste or even to see some crab that is normally found in any vegetable crab soup
Bad Crabs
On Sunday, June 19, 2016 I purchased a large quantify of seafood selections from Jessie Taylor Seafood in Washington DC wharf. I purchased a bushel of crabs that were supposed to be mixed large and medium males but were mostly medium and also there were a mixture of bad crabs in the bunch.
Upon cooking them majority of the crabs were hollow and salty with a foul smell. the sales persons pull the bushel from the back so I was only able to see the top layer of crabs when I ask to open up the top. What a great way to cover up that most of the crabs were all medium and regular (small) and sitting for awhile in the back. In addition the 5 lb box of crab legs were poorly put together, most of the legs were missing and they were very small compared to what I have purchased in the past.
Needless to say, I was completely disappointed as I have been a loyal customer and always compliment and recommend Jessie for fresh seafood. I was highly satisfied for my other purchases of 6 dozen of clams and oysters and 100 fresh oysters. Yes I spend quite a penny here with hopes to have a wonderful Fathers Day with my dad.
I have all of my receipts and wish to have the owner or manager review this feedback and respond regarding my experience and to hopefully encourage better service in the future. Sincerely - contemplating returning customer

Preferred solution: I either want a full refund or certificate/rain check for a bushel of large/medium crabs in which I originally requsted.
