Beautiful work. Very pleased to receive it in time for Christmas.

I ordered on 6/30/20. Initially, very nice and good communication.

Her site says 6-8 weeks for completion. The last email I got on 7/21/20 said that my order was nearly halfway complete. Ive sent multiple emails asking for ETA. I have requested a refund through PayPal, no response.

Its now 10/7/20, no refund, order still not received, no response. Very disappointed. I really wanted to have this for my 1st Christmas with my husband. I wish she would send me the order or refund my money.

Very nice and responsive until you pay then nothing. Sad I got scammed.

I ordered an ornament from her on May 2, 2019 & she was very responsive at first. Until I paid her invoice.

Then I never heard from her again. I was very aware she does custom orders & prepared to wait weeks or months for something custom made. I also was prepared for not alot of emails back & forth as I figured she was working on orders & not spending all her time doing emails. BUT...after emailing several times over the last 2 1/12 months just to find out if my order had been placed I started to get annoyed.

She said once I paid I’d get an email saying my order had officially been “placed”, which I never got. I started researching (which I wish now that I’d done BEFORE I gave her my money) & found many people complaining of the exact same thing. Some had success by threatening to force a refund thru their credit cards & file complaints with BBB. I tried that as a last attempt & still got zero response from her.

The next step was disputing the charge, filing a complaint with BBB & posting here. I hope these complaints will keep others out there from having their money taken and going thru the same disappointing frustration the rest of us did with her. It is downright criminal what she is doing...taking people’s money & not fulfilling their order. Thats theft as far as I’m concerned.

Beware ordering from her. Spend a little more & order your ornament elsewhere!!!

I contacted Jessie in November 2018 and paid the same month. She said in January she was sending my ornament and it is now 5 months later still nothing, and she wont return calls or emails.

Working Time

As a replicator myself, I do feel the need to defend Jessie, handmade replicated ornaments take time and if there is a wait list, there are other people who are waiting to have theirs done as well. And from my stand point, sometimes there may be a problem with replicating a design, we are not robots, sometimes a flaw happens and we need to fix or circumstances beyond our control that will impact our work schedule. And we can't send off messages each time that something happens, we need to keep working.

I can not defend not responding to clients, I ALWAYS reply to my clients.

Absolute Joke of a “Business”

If you’re looking for mediocre work, terrible communication, a boat load of excuses, and missed deadlines, then you should definitely order from here!

Here’s the story of my experience!

I found Jessie online and contacted her. She was very responsive, very nice, and very prompt (that day only). I placed my order on November 5, 2018 and have in writing that the ornament would be done and delivered by Christmas. She wasted no time making an invoice and demanding the money before production started. So 6 weeks go by, it’s now the Monday before Christmas (6 weeks after my order was placed) and I had no update, so I emailed. No response. I emailed again on Tuesday, no response. Finally on Wednesday I emailed one last time threatening to contact the Better Business Bureau if I got no response, and shockingly, she responded immediately. Beating around the bush and making up excuses of a miscarriage (clearly an excuse because if this was true, who would tell a complete stranger such personal information?) She also made it a point to say “My ornanments take 6-8 weeks to produce, as stated on my website, your order was placed November 5th” even though the original email promised a Christmas delivery. So it was at that point I realized I definitely wasn’t getting my ornament by Christmas. So I asked for a picture of the ornament as it stood at that time so I can have some proof that it’s actually being made. No response. Finally, on December 20th I received an email that a shipping label had been created. I checked it every day until New Year’s Eve and the tracking information hadn’t been updated (it still said “preparing for shipping” in God knows where Oklahoma). So on New Year’s Eve I emailed AGAIN, this one, not so nice asking where the heck my order was. She responded with some nonsense about how she dropped it off weeks ago and the post office was holding it (that’s not the way it works, you don’t drop a package and the post office just decides “ehhhh I’m gonna hold on to this for 2 weeks and then ship it”, so clearly she never took it to the post office). So FINALLY on January 5th, 2019 it arrived, 2 weeks AFTER our original agreed upon date. And to make it worse, the cake was mediocre at best, and missing many details which I had SPECIFICALLY pointed out to her on the original email and she said those details would be no problem to reproduce. I didn’t even bother emailing and voicing my opinion to her about her unprofessionalism, because there’s no chance I’d get a response.

So good luck. If you order from here today, maybe you’ll get it by this Christmas!

I contacted her through email and she was very happy to get my order and she responded quickly to all my questions and had my invoice to me right away. I am ordering a cake replica of our wedding for mine and my husband ornament exchange and its 5 days away from christmas and i have not heard anything from her.

I have sent several emails and tried calling but the voicemail isn't set up. All i want is a simple answer!!

Scammed

I placed an order online on Nov 24, 2018 for a wedding cake replica ornament. I paid 37.99 (not much compared to Etsy) but never received the merchandise!

As of 11/24, there has been zero replies from Jessie regarding my inquiries about status . Very frustrating!

There is now an open investigation on this company.

There is a link that takes you to a page that says it’s not safe - tbstbit maybe an impersonator! Of course, that web page has been taken down!

I hope they stop this person! I really wanted the ornament !

Jessie Rayes Miniatures - Cake Ornament Sloppily Done and Crooked Business

I chose Jessie Raye's Miniatures to do an ornament replica of my son and daughter-in-law's wedding cake, because of the intricacy and attention to detail shown in her sample pictures. I ordered on 4/18th for their 5/5 anniversary.

Jessie said she could get it done on time. As it got closer to my son's anniversary, she was no longer responding to my emails inquiring about the progress of the order. With no replies from her, I told her in an email that I was concerned with the negative reviews, stating either the cake shows up looking nothing like they expected, or they were alerting people to how she stopped responding to emails, once the item was ordered, and expected to be received. Now past due, I emailed to tell her I wanted to see a picture before she shipped it.

She emailed back and said it was shipped. She sent a picture (after she shipped it) and sure enough, it was nothing like I expected. Her examples show such meticulous attention to detail on the flowers, pattern, and beading. Our replica was all one color, with sloppy dots made out of the same color clay, rather than pearl beading, a barely recognizable diamond pattern on the top layer, and the rosettes looked like she did quick and sloppy swirls with a toothpick or something.

It honestly looked like she quickly slapped it together and quickly shipped it out as I was inquiring about where our package was. I told her I was refusing the order. She responded saying it was not her policy to send pre-shipment pictures and that all sales are final. She offered to edit it, but I told her that given the reviews, she should start making it her practice to send photos for approval to save both herself and her customers time and frustration, and so a refund should be given if the customer is that unhappy with her work, giving no option for customer approval or feedback to make changes before she shipped it out.

She finally agreed to refund my order, once she received the item back, when I told her I would be calling my bank. This part is not her fault, but upon refusing shipment, the USPS had my package in limbo, causing me to have to open two cases to locate the package. Jessie could see from tracking that I had refused it, but she refused to refund it until she received it back. Finally, the post office assured me the package was on it's way back to the seller.

On July 2, Jessie Raye sent an email to notify me that my order had been refunded...BUT...NO REFUND EVER PROCESSED ON MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT!

I emailed her twice, asking her to check into the refund, with NO REPLY. 7/24th, my bank investigated it, with a copy of all of my emails back and forth with her, and they forced the refund.

Bridget Background Info: Ornament was initially ordered mid-November. It was silly to believe my late minute order would ever arrive by Christmas.

Jessie and I discussed the time table and I told her I understood if the completed ornament arrived after the holidays. My ornament arrived yesterday - February 25.
