Poor Workmanship
His fee was higher then the contractor estimates, however we figured he was a stone mason of 30 years and we would be getting the quality and skill of such. Had to call him back twice to address poor workmanship, ie: deep gouges around the frame of the stoop. He left quite the mess all over the driveway, front of the walkway and splashed across the front of the house. We also found an area between our deck and trees where he decided to dump his left over concrete. He was to return and waterproof the stoop approximately two months later. It's four months later and still hasn't been back. During the job, he mentioned several times his opinions on interfaith marriage(my wife and I are) and the importance of him getting paid on time. We paid him immediately upon initial completion, he cashed my check the same day. I would definitely not recommend. Not the quality of work one would expect for the money he charges. Not the quality of work one would expect or want done on their property.

MASONRY NO SHOW!
J.D. MASONRY Advertises in the Times Herald Record in New York every week, "serving the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas for over 20 years." I wonder how many perspective customers and/or jobs he really showed up for. He is a "no show" when you schedule appointments with him. NO CALL, NO RESCHEDULE, JUST DOESN'T SHOW UP. Sounds like a drug addict!! Not sure why he bothers to pay for advertising if he doesn't plan to show up for scheduled appointments. Twice was enough to tell me this guy is a loser, not planning to call again!
