We had a large group (12) session as last customer of the evening. The woman taking the photos did not have an artistic eye. All she cared about was that everyone was looking but not framing the shots or adjusting poses. As a result the large group photos were medicore-ones anyone could have done. We just had our sons 1 year smash cake pictures taken at the JCPenney studio at Roosevelt field mall and the pictures were a great disappointment!! I was wanting a picture of our family with our 3 dogs and made an appointment with JCPenney Portrait studios at the Meadows Mall in Las Vegas online. It had a note to call if you have pets, so I did and they confirmed everything. They also called to remind me of my appointment. 45 minutes before the shoot, they called to cancel. I had already bought new outfits for everyone, hair done, dogs bathed and groomed and we were walking out the door....

I went there yesterday to take pictures for my kids. It was a nightmare. I wrote a complaint to the company. The photographer was impatient and rude. His name is Jim. My kids are 3 and 2 ish. He expected them to sit and pose. They were considered "noncooperative" because they were running around. He ended the session because we fed them candies that would potentially mess the backdrop. Horrible! Didn't use props, wasn't engaging my twins, was aggravated at them. Then another worker came she was abrupt with me said they already took 27 pictures and they only do 20.
