Very unhappy

We have a brand new 2019 Jayco jay flight. The warranty ran out two weeks ago . Since then weve had nothing but problems. A/ C unit stop working , electric tounge jack stop working and on top of it we have a bumpy kitchen floor with seams in it. For the money we spent and the fact that we researched this throughly we never expected to have to put out $2500 and are now left with a bumpy floor Jayco should definitely do better then that. Do they expect there parts to crap out after two years ??? Its totally not right that we are now left with this headache

I had a water leak behind my control center. They did contact me via email and they also contacted the dealer where my coach was in for repair.

Poor warranty

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
A simple radio/dvd/gps unit stumped the warranty department. Unable or unwilling to find a correct replacement. Great job of talking about replacing it. Final result was either take unit without all the features or live with it. If they don't take care of small claims what will they do on large one!!! Remember they are part of THOR and try to buy other brands.

I am not a pissed off customer but I do have a request. To make a long story bearable.

I had a 30" 2012 Jayco Eagle Lite BH I lived and worked from. I changed my life and begun my adventure last may at the Santa Fe KOA. Unfortunately, my RV was stolen from a tire shop in Santa Fe New Mexico on December 04/2021, I lost everything, my fathers ashes, my children's pictures and memories, I have been completely wiped out. It was found on January 06th with three drug addicts living in it, they have completely destroyed it!!

Ripped off the axels, new tires ripped off, the steps are ripped off, ladder ripped off, scratched all the way down both sides, windows smashed in and that was nothing compared to the inside. I have been homeless since. The cost of travel trailers have went up so much during the pandemic. Even with my insurance I am completely priced right out of the market.

I am asking if there is anything you can do? I have proof of what happened to my life. I have wrote a letter to the editor of the Santa fe New Mexican and they wrote 2 stories about all of this. People have been arrested but my life has still been ruined.

Forgive me for reaching out...I don't know what else to do...

You can google "Lorraine Knorr Stolen RV" to read up on my story. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you.

Sincerely

Lorraine Knorr

I purchased a 2022 Jayco SLX 184BS
Camping World of Davenport, IA was where I purchased but not have taken delivery of my camper. It has been a nightmare. The unit did not pass the inspection as the clean water tank sensors wiring is bad from the manufacturer. Therefore, against CW of Davenport suggestion, I refused to drive off with a brand new unit that did not pass inspection. Although, regrettably i have already paid for thus unit. Its been two weeks and the unit is still not fixed and every time I call I get the run around! I'm already regretting this purchase. I have read as long as I haven't take possession i still may have a chance to resend the deal. Im already so pissed off I dont want the damn thing any longer!

Radio

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Original review Mar 22, 2022

The soundstream radio touch spot for the shortcut rear camera did not work when I bought it. They had two years plus 3 more months to fix it, and they stalled until they could say it was out of warranty.

All they did was reset it twice, and then they took my radio by saying they would replace it with a new Soundstream and replaced it with a Sony 3000 that was black and white and quit working all together the next day. Soundtream told me they would fix it for free if I sent it into them, but Jayco refused to give me back my radio even though I demanded it back within 24 hours. Then Jayco said they would reimburse me up to $1,000 dollars and told me to go get my own radio in which I found to be nearly impossible to find one with a short cut for the rear camera and the same power. Called 3 Jayco dealers and the manufacture back, and no one would help find a radio.

I finally found a Sony 7000 and brought it to their dealer and jayco refused to pay for it. their supervisor Valerie schrock refuses to take my calls or answer my messages. $80k and it doesn't even come with a usable radio. And my frig opens around corners and everything falls out.

brought it in 3 times and they never fixed it. no after market latches for this model.

E450 brake and steering failure "incomplete recall"

Jayco - E450 brake and steering failure incomplete recall
Lost brakes and steering on 2021 class c jayco w 2700 miles. After paying exorbitant amounts of money for towing and the repair, nobody wants to reimburse or take responsibility. Slide damaged trying to get the RV off the highway. Jayco will not assume responsibility and Ford is giving me the run around for any kind of reimbursement

Double pane windows (Buyer beware)

Jayco - Double pane windows (Buyer beware)
Original review Jan 17, 2022

1-17-22 Update,, Got email from jayco & lci refusing to pay labor cost to replace defective window. I let them know i'll be moving this issue to the attorney general.12-31-21, update ,, Jayco well not pay to replace windows after there 2 year warranty,, Double pane windows should last 10 plus years, they won't go to lci (the folks that sell the glass to the rv makers) on my behalf to pay for replacement window's (THIS IS THE SIXTH WINDOW ON A 3 YEAR OLD UNIT.)

Double pane windows // LCI have the windows made for the rv industry .

The windows fog up between the panes. For me it started after a year of owning a new unit, Two and a quarter into ownership FIVE windows had to be replaced ( 4- 4x4's and 1 4x2 ). Last month a 4x4 replacement window fogged up and jayco will no longer cover my windows. I went to lci and they know of the problem and is sending me a new window but will not pay for labor to install it.

i wrote jayco CS again and asked for help getting the labor cost from lci and they said no. I beleave jayco CS person is a robot because asking for help 4 times all i get is (Jayco is going to stand with this determination of declining to participate in those repairs at this time) Double pane windows should last for years and jayco should adjust their policy's.

From the factory, the roof was not installed correctly. The sides were not wrapped and glued down. The repairs were made to correct this, but the roof rubber is loose, the factory customer service has denied the local dealer to replace the roof. I have been dealing with this since my wife and I purchased the camper last March. They have stated that if anything goes wrong with the roof in the warranty period, they will review again at that time. The warranty is 2 years, what do they care the roof is supposed to last 15 years.

Was informed by customer service that the production of new campers is more important than making panels that I need for my Camper. I have had to cancel 3 camping trips because I keep postponing making the metal I need to fix the front of my camper.

Problem with entry door Seneca 37L 2021

Jayco - Problem with entry door Seneca 37L 2021
Seneca 37L 2021 My dealer LaMesa in Pt Saint Lucie, Fl just kept running me around for a year. Finaly they said i had to contact Jayco directly. When I contacted Jayco they said they were aware of the door issue. With that said still no resolution or communication. The entry door to the coach is poorly designed. It is very flimsy and warped at the top and the bottom. You can see it flaps in and out while driving down the road. It is locked with both locks. I have been dealing with this sense September 2020 and still no resolution. I hear a number of customers with the same issue for 2021 coaches and even 2022 year.

Warranty work - or lack thereof... 2022 Jayco Entegra Odyssey.

We purchased our 1st Jayco (new), a 24B Entegra Odyssey, having initial issues - not accepting the unit (new) on six separate occasions until such time the unit was acceptable for delivery wishing all the deficiencies fixed... After the repairs were made, taking ownership, we did enjoy our 24B.

Realizing, however, it was a bit too small, we sold the unit some eight months later and purchased our 2nd (again new) Jayco Entegra Odyssey - this time a 30Z. Two units in less than one year... That fact - buying two units in such a short period of time - clearly had no bearing on how Jayco treats its customers, especially when it comes to warranty work... With less than 4,400 miles on the unit, the drive shaft just about fell out of our 30Z while driving, with FORD reporting the unit was not built properly when stretching the chassis and drive train.

As the drive shaft started to come apart (while driving) the hanger (carrier) bearing, universals, etc, ran out of plum causing a bad wobbling, causing too, damage to the transmission - equating to a repair bill of some $11,189.16... Long story short: Jayco agreed to cover the drive shaft, carrier bearing, etc, but not the transmission... Why? Jayco's contention it was not their fault...

It took seven weeks, countless phone calls, the grateful assistance of the FORD dealer, and the threat of a lawsuit, that Jayco eventually agreed to pay for the repairs... Again, seven weeks later...

My family and I have purchased five Jayco's over the past five years, having 'warranty issues' with all, knowing Jayco is very, very slow to react to their customers' needs, as well as not being willing to address their own incompetence. Knowing now, from this latest experience - a situation where Jayco should have stepped up to the plate day one, not seven weeks later - I would not recommend buying a Jayco, any Jayco, in that 'customer service' simply does not exist in Jayco's company vocabulary.
