Mr. Darryl Jefferson ~ Do you know him ? He is a coach in the Jacksonville Area and a sham .

WHO IS THE SCAM ? Life Lessons … Becoming a Man of Character

This response is referencing the stated party complaint by Mr. Darryl Jefferson received on June 9, 2015 against Jax Auto Mart. Inc. (JAM). Mr. Jefferson initially visited JAM on April 11, 2015 with his wife’s car a Ford Focus. His wife’s air condition was not working and she was upset with Mr. Jefferson and about to leave him because he was a poor provider to his family . He was having marriage problems with his wife and in tears that she may leave him.

Therefore, I took 30 minutes to counsel with him and hear his issues. His wife was complaining that his kids were coming before her and he had to help her with her vehicle and her expenses. He was basically neglecting her. We talked about a man’s responsibility and he said he was looking at marriage differently now. Being responsible being accountable as a husband and father to present HER before the throne room of heaven without spot, without wrinkle without blemish. JAM gave him an estimate for the repair for the A/C. Mr. Jefferson asked for JAM to repair the A/C that day. He had a friend with him at the time who was also a school teacher and Mr. Jefferson was embarrassed at the condition of his wife’s car as we showed him the issue with his wife’s vehicle . The A/C did not work and her passenger rear tire was on the steel belts and could not be driven as it was leaking air and on the cords. JAM fixed the A/C line/hose and put a new tire on the vehicle.

Upon completion of the repair Mr. Jefferson then makes an excuse he had made a mistake in his checkbook and did not have the funds to cover the costs after he authorized these repairs upfront . This error occurred after I took the time to listen to his issues with his family and he misrepresented his finances. JAM asked when can you make the payment for the repairs you authorized today and now you state you have no money to pay us. Most companies would have kept his vehicle but JAM wanted to test his character and his intent after sharing with him earlier . We also wanted to be paid for the work completed, we are a business. This is the first time we had met Mr.Jefferson and did not know anything about him and he now needs credit for his wife’s vehicle so he can be a responsible husband. He stated he would pay the bill in full his next pay cycle which was in two weeks. JAM released his vehicle and had Mr. Jefferson’s WORD as a man the bill would be paid in full in two weeks. On April 26th JAM texted Mr. Jefferson and asked for payment (see text) It took six weeks to be paid for the repair yet JAM lets him have his car back based on his word and trust . He is proving to be failing as a man with no character or word. Mr. Jefferson is a teacher in the Duval School system and should be very familiar with the testing system of life and maturing .

It took Mr. Jefferson 6 weeks to pay his bill after a lot of persuasion. On April 6, 2015 , Mr. Jefferson brought his 1992 Honda Accord and was provided a estimate of $1800.00 just to keep it running. The motor mounts were destroyed and the motor was resting on transmission , timing belt was about to break, plugs mis fire and wires bad due to leaking oil He decided he did not want to put any more money in a 1992 vehicle with over 250,000 miles and wanted to buy the BMW on the lot .

On April 30, 2015, Mr. Jefferson bought a 1998 BMW 528 from JAM. He was told before hand the car needed some repairs and he had a choice, fix his 1992 Honda that needed $3500 in repairs to fix everything needed on the Honda or spend $2000 on the BMW repairs and have a car six years newer and less miles 130,000 miles .

On May the 6, 2015 Mr. Jefferson brought his Honda in for repairs and JAM loaned him a vehicle for the day . He returned the vehicle out of gas ($59.20) and he drove it over 120 miles and put a 12 inch scratch on the side of the vehicle. JAM confronted Mr. Jefferson the next day. He denied he drove it that far or used the gas . He was provided a copy of the contract he signed before hand with the in ? out mileage on the contract . He drove over 120 miles but takes NO ownership .

Mr. Jefferson decided he wanted the BMW and purchased it. He drove it for a week. He had concerns about the BMW . He expressed his concerns on May 5, 2015 and I gave him the option to return the BMW and get his Honda back.

When Mr. Jefferson expressed his issues he was text this message

Darryl ,

So sorry about the Car ( BMW), I want to break the deal on the BMW today if you want too. Remember the car is sold to you “As IS “….. I just learned this morning you came by with the car and it needed a quart of oil again yesterday.. I was not aware this car was using oil like that and it is probably be better for you if I take it back so this is not a problem for you. If you do not turn it back today and decide to keep it, the car is sold “AS IS “ to you.

Do not look to me for any additional repairs if you decide to keep it , I also expect to be paid for it, the $3700,00 if you decide to keep it after I give you this opportunity one last time to get out of it today .

Darryl, you are in the vehicle with NO CASH from you, which was not the original deal and I am still waiting to be paid the down payment. I told you the deal was , it was your car traded in and $500.00 down payment and your vehicle as trade from you at closing to get the BMW. You have not paid the down payments and had the BMW 8 days.

Your Honda is in worst shape that you represented and you brought it in to me filthy, rubbers in the back seat and trunk and the car is on empty that will destroy the fuel pump. So disgusting Darryl rubbers in the back seat by the car seat for your daughter. So text me back what you want to do and again you understand it is sold to you “AS IS “Must know your answer today

Mr. Darryl Jefferson responded with this text at 10:05 ,” I am going to keep it. It is not that serious I will not call you about the car any more. I am asking questions that’s all “ Darryl Jefferson

Mr Jefferson stated he wanted to keep the Vehicle, therefore JAM completed another $789.00 on the vehicle on May 7th that he authorized .

Mr. Jefferson made his decision, and asked JAM to complete the sunroof repair and headliner at JAM’s expense in the car . JAM completed the repair because he had made his decision to keep the vehicle.

On May 18th Mr. Jefferson brought the vehicle in and it had a mis -fire . He told us one of his friends put spark plugs in the vehicle. JAM did a diagnostic on the vehicle and determined his friend put the wrong plugs in the vehicle and Mr. Jefferson had been running regular gas in his car for 18 days . The plugs were fouled out . A cooling reservoir bottle was also installed and two gallons of BMW coolant at a cost of $406.92 .

His bill was due on the 29th .

In summary for “Life Lessons “ Mr. Jefferson ….

1.A man is having family problems for not being accountable and responsible with his wife and misrepresents when he can pay a bill he authorized but was well aware he had no money

2.A man uses a loaner vehicle for two days and trashes it, returns it on empty on gas and a 12 inch scratch on the rear panel, but denies any of the issues when confronted .

3.A man is given the chance to return the car he purchased after he it drove for 8 days , failed to honor the terms with a down payment and given the chance to return the vehicle BUT says he wants to keep it and would pay his bills the tag fee, repair bills and car payment on the 29th

4.A man fails to make the payment on the 29th , then argues that he was sold a lemon after his friend worked on the vehicle twice and put the wrong parts on the vehicle and blames JAM but JAM repairs the vehicle for him.

5.A MAN must learn to be accountable, responsible, and faithful if he is ever to become a MAN OF CHARACTER

6.Mr. Jefferson failed to pay any of his bills on the 29th including his tag fee, car payment, and part of his repair bill. We asked him to return the vehicle and he could pick it up when he paid his bill in full. He never responded and the vehicle was reposed. Mr. Jefferson showed his true colors and I believe the pot is calling the kettle black. He has no integrity or character and you the public determine who is the scam

Sincerely , JAM

Never take your car to this shop. He's dishonest, disrespectful and conniving !

He's a scam artist, he'll do the work on your car, over charge you then make sure he mess up something else so that your vehicle will break down and you have to spend more money. Do not enter into payment arangements of any kind. He actually sent his mechanic to flatten a customers tires so they would have to pay for a tow. Then charged over a thousand dollars to get the car back.

The mechanic was caught in the act!!!! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS.

Jax Auto Mart - Crooks and Scammers

We were so displeased with the being lied and deceived; the charges and service we received by Jax Auto Mart were criminal. The owner JOHN HEDQUIST came right out and said; "even though we were lied to and charged $150.00 extra for a service that wasn't provided; we were not getting any compensation."

The Jax-Auto-Mart manager (Nathan) blatantly lied that an A.C. resistor required removal of the dash board to install; hence the $150.00 labor charge. Come to find out; it does NOT. The one they installed went bad very quickly and we took the truck back; this time Jax-Auto-Mart said the A.C. blower motor was bad and it would cost another $300.00! We took it to another mechanic (Wilson Auto Repair) they installed a new resistor for $17.00. When I questioned the new mechanic why so cheap; he explained that I was ripped off originally; the dash does NOT have to come off. The resistor plugs in under the glove box.

They are very high pressure scammers. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Jax Auto Mart is a complete scam. I've filed a law suit against the owner John.

He convince me to trade in my car and sold me a lemon. The car title was not clean and after I informed him that I was aware of the bogus title he secretly stole the car from my home.

I had to call the police on John and report the car stolen. WARNING, DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH JAX AUTO MART OR YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Great and exceptional SERVICE

The rest of the story ……

This report was filed by Ms. Shelia Saunders of 6065 Robbins Circle North, Jacksonville Florida 32211 and works as a loan underwriter with Vy-Star Credit Union. She wants to remain anonymous yet has the audacity to post unfounded statements to affect our business and should be shame of herself.

The Rest of the Story.

After visiting our business a second time and becoming unruly on her visit , disruptive and rowdy , we told Ms. Saunders it was time to leave as she openly admits in her statement. This was because of her rude behavior, foul and racial comments and unfounded allegations about her vehicle that are in desperate need of repair. If you write a complaint own up to it, so we can resolve it amicably and in a professional manner . Please tell the truth in a clear and concise statement and sign your name to the article posted so the business can hopefully resolve it. If you want to attempt to damage our business reputation then we will expose you Ms. Shelia Saunders and your behavior .

Initially on July 16, 2014, Ms. Saunders contacted our business by phone and asked for a quote over the phone on two different issues’ she was having with her vehicle. The vehicle is a 2007 Honda Accord EX with 113,000 miles on it. The first issue she wanted a quote on was to fix her alternator and battery. The second estimate requested was to repair her starter because she had been told it could have been either problem. Both estimates were provided and she came in on July 16, 2014 to have her vehicle repaired.

Ms. Saunders was in a big hurry because she wanted to leave for Ft. Lauderdale that evening by 6:00 pm after she got off work from Vy Star Credit Union. When she requested the estimates she provided the wrong motor size of her vehicle when asked for the repair quotes. That changed the estimated once the vehicle arrived and the error was determined. From the initial start Ms. Saunders needed financial assistance with her vehicle. We asked her to have it towed in and there was a private tow service that could assist her if she did not have that service with her insurance carrier. She stated she did not have that service and needed someone from our business to assist her in getting the vehicle to us because of her financial position.

Once her vehicle arrived we provided Ms. Saunders an estimate for her starter and again. She then asked if we could assist her in breaking up the payments because she did not have the financial resources to pay for it today. (Please Note: Ms. Shelia Saunders works for Vy Star Credit Union and does not have the resources or credit card but has the funds to make her trip to Ft. Lauderdale if we repair her vehicle and put her on a payment plan?) What does that tell you before we go any further in responding to her allegations?

We were not able to locate the starter initially because of the wrong information she provided initially and the plenum gasket also had to be removed to get to her starter. Her vehicle was completed by 6:15 PM without the oil change because of meeting her time schedule and getting her on the road as she requested. After the repair Ms. Saunders was informed her battery was very weak and needed to be watched on the trip to Ft. Lauderdale. As a customer of ours we provide free road side service after the first repair and she was given that benefit in case she needed it while traveling to Ft Lauderdale. The next morning I personally contacted her in Ft. Lauderdale and asked if she arrived safely and the battery did not stall on her. She made the trip without any incidences. We provided her with a Free Oil change when she returned, as another courtesy because of her financial issues.

Ms. Saunders returned on Thursday July 24, 2014 for her free oil change a $45.00 value for her vehicle. During the middle of providing the oil change she wanted to bring it to our attention that we caused her headliner material to fall from the ceiling of her vehicle, and also caused the weather stripping around the driver’s door to fall off. I said what ! Ms. Saunders are you serious you think we did that ? And she repeated her allegations again, now loudly and almost yelling.

I responded, Ms. Saunders, we worked in the engine compartment, on the starter not near your headliner and opened the driver’s door twice, once to get you vehicle here and the second time to put your vehicle on a lift for the repair. Our repairs would not cause either issue that you are accusing us of . I am offended by these allegations after how we attempted to assist you .

They are totally unfounded and without any merit . I brought the two Master Technicians in to address her allegations and both were startled by such allegations on such a poorly maintained vehicle. Now she is questioning if we are doing the oil change. I ask the tech in her presence, “Did you do her oil change and how many quarts of oil did you put in her vehicle”. She heard his response very clearly. Ms. Saunders is now getting out of control in front of other customers. I asked the Tech to bring in her old oil filter and we gave it to her in the new replacement box, but she closes and states we did not do the oil change. Again out right lie and misrepresentation when she walked out with the filter in her hand. If she wants to dispute this we have 8 cameras that will clearly show her behavior, conduct and she got the oil change at No Charge.

I also stated , as I remember when you picked up your vehicle you requested that we give you an estimate to repair your windows as they would not go down and you had card board wedged it them to hold them up. (Pictures were taken of the inside of her vehicle for the record and can be provided if necessary.) It was so apparent she smokes so much she had a cup in the door panel to hold all the ashes and butts and the car wreaks of smoke that most people would find as offensive and would not want to get in it.

I tried to reason with her and said Ms. Saunders your vehicle is seven years old and you are a heavy smoker and smoke causes the adhesive to lose its strength over time that causes the liner to fall from the roof. Check with anyone in the repair business and they will confirm this. Ms. Saunders now gets very unruly in front of two other customers in the waiting area and gets very vulgar with racial comments. I ask her to leave and now the words start flying. "What fills a person’s heart overflows her lips and the words are coming loud and viscous now so we know the condition of her heart ."

Ms. Saunders wrote a check dated for July 23, 2014 on her own credit union she works for. It was presented on July 23, 2014 and it bounced, under $100.00 in her account.

In closing, where is her character? She begs for help so she can go on a trip/ vacation but can’t pay her bill nor has her own credit card and now makes unfounded allegations in an attempt to get out of paying her bill. Ask her, does your car start? That is what we replaced and you made it to Ft. Lauderdale and back and we had enough concern of her wellbeing and safety to check on her. Is it sad our world has turned into this? Ms. Saunders , You go to the same place for lying as you do for stealing and she has done both to our business. Good luck to you .

The REST of the Story .....

So sorry she reported this but here is the rest of the story and you decide!

Unfortunately times have changed and we have insurance regulations to follow today and not like June Cleaver and there was TRUST . It is not like the old days, but we have become so litigious as a county and society, PLAYING a tow service sets us up for a law suit and injury to my employees.

We are a repair shop plain and simple, not a wrecker service, not road service, not a gas station but a REPAIR SHOP. Our rules are, you get me your vehicle and we can repair it, but I cannot go into the middle of a busy highway and get your vehicle with my employees safety . We would be risking their lives to assist someone that ran out of gas during rush hour.

JAM employees are the most important asset we have and insurance regulation requires that we have a signed work order before we touch a vehicle and it must be on the property, not across the street to be insured should something happens or an accident.

Unfortunately NO one person can go across traffic and remove the stalled vehicle, plus stop the traffic and get the stranded vehicle out of the highway across five lanes of traffic and in an intersection. It takes at least 3 to five people to accomplish that task depending on the congestion and weight of the vehicle .

Question:

1. How many people does it take to push a vehicle? At least 3 to 5 men depending on the weight of the vehicle.

2. How many people does it take to STOP the traffic so the vehicle can be safely pushed out of traffic? Two to three to block six lanes of traffic and get it into our repair shop

2. How many stranded vehicles do you think are stranded at this intersection a day? 10 to 15 stranded vehicles out of gas

3. Why did you run out of gas? Probably low on funds and waiting until your next pay check

4. How much in gas will it take to coat the bottom of your tank to get it to start ? 3 gallons on $10.00 to $ 12.00

5. How far is the closest gas station ? 1.1 miles

6 How long have you known of the gas issue or repair issue and why have you delayed it so long ?

This person that wrote this thinks a business is supposed to let four employees leave the business and push it out of the road because she ran out of gas for free ? Then she wants to expose the employees or pedestrians to the RISK of someone flying around the corner and running into the back of the vehicle and amputating their legs if they failed to see the stranded vehicle?

Where is your accountability and responsibility? You ran out of gas and want to point the finger at a business that has limitations placed on us due to safety issues and taking the well being of our employees over vehicles that would never be a customer .

THINK: If someone doesn’t see the individuals pushing the vehicle and runs into the back of the vehicle with my employees pushing they have lost their legs. Then they have lost their careers and cannot be the person they once were because you ran out of gas and was not a responsible driver.

We are located at a very busy intersection, the fourth busiest in the city. We also have 10 to 15 stranded vehicles a day that we cannot leave to help every day. We will send a third party wrecker to assist you if you request it but we cannot jeopardize the safety of our employees due to insurance regulations. It is time for this driver to be an adult , be responsible and be accountable and tell the whole story please.

HORRIBLE customer service!!!

The owner of this shop is not to be trusted.Read the reviews for yourself. I did take me car to the shop for some repairs.

I wasnt sure of the exact problem. he presented me with different reasons it could be..so i allowed them to fix my car. An oil change was to be done as well. he promised it would be done by 5 but it was after 7 when i got the call that my car was ready.

when i got in the car i noticed the rubber part on the door was hanging off..my headliner was coming unglued from the ceiling and my motor sounded funny.he said he was unable to do the oil change and that he added 2qts of oil to tide me over intill i could get back to the shop for the oil cha dnge. he also mentioned he would do the oil change for free. when i went back to the shop for the oil change he wanted to discuss my concerns. when i did, he became very irrate to the point where he was yelling at me.

he said...see i knew there would be issues. i told him..no issues i am expressing cmy concerns and he didnt like it. i told him to change my oil so i could get out of his shop and he continued to yell at me. not cool..so i yellex back.

he left & went into garage. a new customercame in and he asked if i was disparing him...i said no and he started yelling again so i yelled back. by this time i turned to the new customer and said...is this where you want to do your business? the owner went to get my car & sped out the garage swinging my keys in front of me like a bully..then threw the keys on the ground.

yes this is the owner that im talking about. i cussed him out as he walked away& he came back to the car& snatched the door open. as i reached for my purse..he backed up. i said no i dont have a gun..i have something better.

a phone w/a camera..he ran back into the garage saying im calling the police. i said good. while i was filming...he got even more angry that he called me a ***! yes...he went there.

this guy has some serious issues both in his job and personal life. dont believe me? check out duval county public recorda. its been documented.

dont waste your time..money or energy on this shop!!! forgot to mention..he did not complete the oil change

No help Only Drama

My car broke down in a main road near a automotive repair shop, I asked the men working in the shop if they could help me move it to the side of the road into their lot so that I would not get hit. The man seemed more then willing to help me except he said if he did his boss would get mad, so he went in and asked his boss.

His boss said he could help only if I agreed to have the car repaired there, upon explaining that I do not have the funds and need to have it towed to my home the boss said I could not move the vehicle into his lot even though my children were sitting in the car.

Thanks a lot. I will never do business with the company!

So sorry she reported this but here is the rest of the story and you decide.

Unfortunately times have changed and we have insurance regulations to follow today. It is not like the old days, but we have become so litigious as a county and society, PLAYING a tow service sets us up for a law suit and injury to my employees.

We are a repair shop plain and simple, not a wrecker service, not road service, not a gas station but a REPAIR SHOP.

You get me your vehicle and we can repair it, but I cannot go into the middle of a busy highway and get your vehicle with my employees risking their lives to assist someone that ran out of gas. JAM employees are the most important asset we have and insurance regulation requires that we have a signed work order before we touch a vehicle and it is on the property.

Unfortunately NO one person can go across traffic and remove the stalled vehicle, plus stop the traffic and get the stranded vehicle out of the highway. It takes at least 3 to five people.

Questions for her :

1.

How many people does it take to push a vehicle? At least 3 to 5 men depending on the weight of the vehicle. 2. How many people does it take to STOP the traffic so the vehicle can be safely pushed out of traffic?

Two to three to block six lanes of traffic 2. How many stranded vehicles do you think are stranded at this intersection a day? 10 to 15 stranded vehicles out of gas 3. Why did you run out of gas?

Probably low on funds and waiting until your next pay check 4. How much in gas will it take to coat the bottom of your tank to get it to start ? 3 gallons on $10.00 to $ 12.00. You expect me to donate that to you also ?

5. How far is the closest gas station ? 1.1 miles 6 How long have you known of the gas issue or repair issue and why have you delayed it so long ? This person that wrote this thinks a business is supposed to let four employees leave the business and push it out of the road because you ran out of gas for free and give them 3 gallons a gas ?

Then you want to expose the employees or pedestrians to the RISK of someone flying around the corner and running into the back of the vehicle and amputating their legs? We have 15 to 20 Rescue Vehicles flying thru the intersections daily and they stop for no one. Where is your accountability and responsibility as the owner of your vehicle ? You ran out of gas , call your road side assistance but do not point the finger at a business that has limitations placed on us due to safety issues .

THINK: If someone doesn’t see individuals pushing the vehicle and runs into the back of the vehicle with my employees pushing they have lost their legs. Then they have lost their careers and cannot be the person they once were because you ran out of gas and have no sense of responsibility. We are located at a very busy intersection, the fourth busiest in the city. We also have 1o to 15 stranded vehicles a day that we cannot leave to help every day.

We will send a third party wrecker to assist you if you request it but I cannot jeopardize my employees due to insurance regulations.

Be responsible and be accountable and tell the whole story please.

Actually that was a blessing in disguise. Your guardian angel was with you that day. You wouldn't even have your car right now because this BOTTOM OF THE BARREL *** would have stole it from you.

Auto dealer tries to bill me for work I told him NOT to do.

JAX AUTO MART

5950 Atlantic Blvd.

Jacksonville, FL 32207

After agreeing to pay $85 and only $85 to have my (failed) fuel pump checked, and after explaining that I'm on disability with a fixed income and could not afford his $850 repair estimate (another shop quoted me $450 once it was too late) the manager/owner went ahead and dismantled my fuel tank purely for the sake of sending me pictures of the failed fuel pump (which you could tell was not working without taking the tank apart) and is trying to charge me for FOUR HOURS labor on top of what I had already agreed to.

Not only that, he is rude and condescending. Even before I had issues with him I was annoyed with his habit of simply hanging up on me once he had finished speaking. Then to boot when I pointed out that he was trying to bill me for specifically unauthorized work he simply said, "too bad" and hung up on me.

According to the dept agriculture & consumer svcs. my only recourse is to put a $85 lien on my own truck, and wait 60 days to see if he develops morals and returns it, or it goes to court. At the moment if it were possible to cause my own truck to explode in his garage, I would do it.

there is nothing but this kind of *** from Jax Auto Mart. Dept of Ag has many, many complaints but doesn't care.

The BBB doesn't care, the courts don't care. It enables this psycho to keep ripping off citizens. Shame on Duval county courts for allowing this *** to keep doing this. His manager even mentioned he's in court at least once a week.

THAT'S HOW MUCH HE RIPS PEOPLE OFF!!

He's a really sick man who enjoys the game because he knows not a single agency or court will do their job. Karma will get him.
