I went into the store today to sell some gold. The manager on duty did not even look at what I had and then accused me of being related to someone Ive never even heard of.

HIm and the lady proceeded to give me all of this females personal information saying that I knew her, which I did not. I asked for corporate or a manager number and he told me he was the highest level of management. I was embarrassed and also disgraced that they shared confidential information with me about another customer.

I definitely will never use janvier jewelers to purchase anything and will be telling family and friends about the situation also. That manager should be fired before they go out of business!!!

Tried to trick me into buying the ring i returned

I purchased a wedding ring at Janvier. At first they were very helpful.

When the ring came in it was too big for me. Although the salesperson told me they would exchange the ring at the time of purchase, once the ring was there he told me that I would have to pay for it. After some argument, he agreed to return it.

I was contacted a week later that the ring was in, in the new size.

When i went in, he quickly put it on my finger, and literally without looking at it, said "there, it fits now". It was clearly still far too big. When i protested, he reluctantly put it on the ring sizer, only to find out it was the same size I had just returned.

He rolled his eyes at me and told me he guessed he would return it again, but this would be the last time.

I told him that I hoped it would be the last time, but that I would return it again if it was still the wrong size. He then told me that I should just wait and see if I "grew into it". I guess he just thought I shouldnt wear a ring until I gained some weight! Finally the right size was delivered after another week.

He was still completely rude and dismissive. I will never return to a place that treats its customers this poorly.

I didnt have any special requests or anything, just nicely asked to return a ring that was the wrong size. Once they have your money, they could not care less about you!

Janvier Jewelers pushed us in their store

Janvier Jewelers actually pushed us today in their Christiana Mall store and threw my necklace out into the mall! We purchased a 18in gold rope necklace and within a week it broke right in the middle. I would of lost it but luckly it fell on the kitchen floor and I heard it. Called the store and they said to return it. We got married the next day and went to return it today. The saleswoman screamed at us, would not return it, told us that even though it had a lifetime warranty it was cheap and it would not be honored by the company.

She pushed me aside and then pushed my husband in an attempt to throw my necklace right into the middle of the Christiana Mall!

Later the manager called me and told me to come pick up my necklace and it was my fault. And refused to give me his bosses name and phone number. I called my husband and he is now handling it with the company. We will bring assult charges against this saleswoman who said she worked there for 20 years.

This necklace was 259.00 and on sale for 210.00 the day we bought it. As of yet I'm out the money and I do not have the necklace.

Saleswoman is violent and apparently they have attacked others by reading other blogs about this store.

I'm the woman who had writtin the blog, "Janvier Jewelers pushed us in their store". The jewlery store contacted us and apologized, replaced the gold necklace immediately, took action with an employee.

I'm more than satisfied with this store and my husband bought another gold necklace from them.

The unfortunate incident does not reflect on how the owner wants his customers treated. The company is honorable and I will do business with them again!

Janvier Jewelers in Christiana Mall Pushed me

Janview Jewlers in Christiana Mall. Purchased a 18in. gold rope necklace. 1 wk. later it broke in half while I was wearing it. Called store & was told to bring it back. Saleslady pushed us, and literally threw the gold necklace out of her store into the mall.

Later manager Charles called and told me this didn't happen! It has to be on their video!! He would NOT give me his bosses name or number, he refused. Im reporting them to better business, and filing a complaint with the police dept for assult.

The necklace should of been guananteed, but the sales lady said that they would not cover it because I broke it. I did not, it just fell off my neck. A link had to be weak or already broken. This necklace was 2 weeks old. I was told I should of bought a better one instead of a cheap one. I paid 259.00!

So Disrespected

I just went to janvier Jewelers in Christiana Mall i was returning a necklace that my husband had gotten me for mothers day not because i didnt love it but because we found a jewelry store that was going out of business and got the same thing for hundreds less. I go there today and they said they dont do returns well they NEVER told my husband that when he bought it he never looked at the reciept just like any other man just put it in his pocket.

There supose to tell you that at checkout not just on the receipt. Well anyway this man there was so rude and disrespectful to me he said he would be so insulted if i was his wife and returned something that he had bought her. Well first of all its none of his business what i do or why im doing it.Then he said with attitude that even if he wanted to give me a partial refund he would have to charge me 20% charge to restock it. I was like um do i look *** to you first of all i would never want a partial refund WTF and then pay you to put it back out there.

Ow i was sooooo pissed when i left that store i felt like punching him in his face!!!!! So disrespectful!!

Wouldnt recommend this place if you want to be treated nicely!!!!!

Well apparently your not the first and I hope I'm the last. Today we took back a 18in gold rope necklace that we bought in Aug, 2008 and on Sept 4th it just fell off my neck and was broken in the middle.

I did not do anything to break it either. They fought my husband I terrible today. Told us we should of bought a better piece of gold, not junk. We paid 210.00 for it on sale.

Reg. 259.00. Also she pushed me and my husband aside and literally threw it out into the Christiana Mall. As of right now they have both our necklace and our money.

We are filing charges for assault and what ever else I can. They are thieves.

We had also bought a cross from them the week before for 250.00. They should be put out of business
