Verified ReviewerJames Hodge Ford sold truck out from underneath me. Fail to disclose "AS IS" non-warranty on trucks.
- - -Aug 25, 2022: email for a 2017 Ford F-250 purchase; it notes AS IS, no warranty.
- - -Promised dealership inspection not emailed; truck sold Aug 29, 2022.
Dealership never contacted buyer to respond against the compliant that was lodge them.Lack of response is not surprising due to the character of the dealership personnel.Apparently, the dealership relies on volume of potential buyers and not on customer service/treatment.
On 25 August 2022, a salesman with James Hodge Ford Lincoln (Muskogee, OK) emailed a purchase agreement (deal # 65270) regarding a 2017 Ford F-250 (VIN #1FT7X2BT6HEC41833 (stock #P12194) to me.
This subject purchase agreement was emailed to me,so I could review and then make a deposit on the subject truck with mutual expectations of making the balance of the payment (shortly) at the dealership.
This purchase agreement was accurate in respect to purchase/trade-in numbers but with a surprise (to me) of the "AS IS" non-warranty on the truck. The salesman had earlier shared the truck was out of 'factory' warranty but never informed me of the "AS IS" non-warranty position of the dealership.
After receipt of the purchase agreement, the salesman/I talked regarding the "AS IS" non-warranty.
The salesman stated the vehicle had been inspected at the dealership. I clearly indicated I would accept the dealership's inspection. The salesman stated that he would get with his manager and have the dealership's truck inspection emailed to me shortly, so I could then make my deposit for the truck.
The dealership truck inspection never was emailed to me.
The salesman was not at work the next business day.
On 29 August 2022, I learned that the subject truck was sold the next day after my purchase agreement with the dealership was emailed to me.
I never received the subject truck's dealership inspection (as promised by the dealership representative) before the dealership sold the truck out from underneath me.
The dealership could try to weasel out and blame the customer, but it was the dealership that owed the customer the promised subject truck's inspection. Once the inspection was provided (as promised), the customer was willing and prepared to make the deposit.
NOTE: The customer learned (subsequently) that there was never an inspection performed on/before purchase agreement date.
- Internet manager is honest and responds promptly with customer
- Select folks demonstrated themselves to be not truth full
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Buyer beware of dealership

I HAVE NOW CLEREFIED THAT WAS A LIE AND COMPLEATLY INACURATE.
