Verified ReviewerTaken for $200 for a product that made me ill
The shikibuton had a strong odor that would not go away. It was lumpy and my hip hurt from the few times I slept on it.
I ended up with headaches, an asthma flare, and my skin itching from whatever they use in their mattress that produces the odor. The product is so cumbersome and heavy that shipping it back is an impossibility. If you don't throw your back out trying to repackage it, you will have sticker shock from the cost of shipping it. The company knows this, and figures once you buy it, you are stuck with it.
I was able to return the cover, which was made like a pillocase with no side gusset to accomodate the width of the shikibuton, and was impossible to get on the shikibuton it nearly tore when I tried. I was able to return it, but not the shkibuton.
As an FYI, the company was placed under an administrative dissolution in NH when it was operating there, which usually happens when a company fails to meet reporting requirements to the state, or doesn't file its taxes. It would be interesting to find out why, and it doesn't give me much confidence in the management of their company, which my personal experience only compounds.
