mY NAME IS Vivian Robinson from Wellsville, ks I called a Randy {{Redacted}} out of Topeka, Ks to come down and give me an estimate on putting in 3 doors in a DW MH. He did and went on to say he needed 305.00 down and the rest after he installed and was very persistent in finding where my bank was located to cash check.

I questioned and he said he did this with everyone. He wrote out a proposal and called this a contract. Does not give a time of starting or a complication date. I called stating I was having problems in getting the doors and needed help he did not say he would help.

I spoke to his partner that has quit him and went to work for someone else. He said he has done this to other people. I know I am pretty much screwed but is there anything I can do. He difiantly was not listed with BBB or anyother company.

He is a sleazy character.

but I would like to get him locally. Can you offer any suggestions?

Randy Schmidt out of Topeka, Ks I called to have him come out to see how much it was going to be to replace 3 MH doors on a DW MH.

Came out week of Feb 5th, TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS OF DOORS.

Then he comes up with he needed 305.00 up front, he wrote down on a piece of paper what was to be done not the finish date asked where my bank was to cash the check. This was a Proposal not a contract.

I asked for help he ignored me I broke the deal because i FOUND SOMEONE ELSE TO DO WHICH ALL THE DOORS ARE IN NOW. I want my money back he says he doesn't have he needs more time to get more jobs to get money to pay me back.

I hired him to do my bathroom and only then read all of the posts about his fraudulent behavior. Of course he refuses to give me back my deposit.

I have current information (if it's correct) and his license plate. He is under J & R Remodeling and Construction.

My husband and I hired this company (company owner is Joseph Prada) to remodel our bathroom and gave him a significant deposit. He promised that he would have the job done within a two week time frame.

On the first day that his workers were supposed to arrive, they never showed up. He never called with an explanation, but when we called him, he said that they got detained by another job. He promised that they would be here the next day at 9:00 am. One man arrived the next day two and a half hours late.

Joseph said that this man was his "miracle worker," but had trouble remembering his name. The worker left after approximately three and a half hours later. The following day, two workers came in the afternoon after promising to be here at 9:00 am. They worked for about three hours, and told us that they would be back the day after Christmas.

They never showed. They left a huge pile of trash in our front yard, which they promised to take with them, and never returned. We have called and texted Joseph countless times, and would always get an excuse, such as "they said they were coming, let me call them and get back to you," but would never hear from him. We have yet to hear back from him at this point, and are left with a gutted bathroom, a giant pile of trash in our front yard, and with most of the money gone.

Upon doing further research on him, we have found similar complaints.

We just want our bathroom remodeled! We have also heard that he has company addresses in Forney, TX and McKinney, TX, and that his also goes by J & S Remodeling
