I arrived to I.T.S academy of beauty in Plano, TX today Saturday, 8/17 at 9:45 am to sign up for hair color service. I was told by a woman supervisor there was not going to be hair service today and the signed sheet was taken away from me.

The reason was only three students were working and there were already three clients being served inside. I suggested I was going to wait in case another student show up and sure enough at 10:10 and 10:20 two other hair students, not beauty students arrived.

Despite that two other hair students arrived I was never called and neither was the other client seating next to me. A male supervisor arrived at 10:30 and again his reply was the same.

They were only three students working when in reality they were five hair students.

While I and the other lay left a friend of the supervisor walked inside to have her hair done without any problem.

It was obvious that today was a “serving a friend day” instead of providing client services day. Is this place ever supervise to ensure that practice like these do not occur?

The students do good quality work but they act like they can’t smile or are having a bad day. You’re customers are not supposed to feel the tension in the place but rather feel welcomed and I never do all the many times that I come.

The instructor (the light skinned lady with hair a bit past her shoulders who is always at the front) is always turning people around. I was there one afternoon where someone came in around 3 and she told them the students were not taking anymore customers because they were leaving soon but mind you the place don’t close til 630/7pm and she was totally rude I felt like she was being prejudice because the whole two hours I was there, her same students that were supposed to be leaving soon were taking other customers after she’s turned away quite a few people. She doesn’t even greet people and a lot of people that come through those doors are first timers who don’t know they have to sign in.. oh and another issue is the prices they charge for the services does not reflect the prices on the sign they have posted in the lobby.

They are very much different and much higher:..

so who’s taking the extra pay? Huh?

I walked in to get a haircut when what I assumed to be a student was cussing and yelling at people. I waited a minute to see if I could figure out what was going on (mostly curious) when I noticed an instructor (the uniform was different then everyone else) was trying to calm down a rather large man and was urging him to get in the office.

First off I almost dialed 911. I determined he was a student from the way he was talking. I can't believe this company lets their students act like that. Just straight up disrespectful.

Why would I stay for a haircut? I left. Never going to go their again. After all, I felt threatened too.

That poor instructor. Hope she's ok

I'm a student here right now. And I've been bullied by everyone.

And the instructions punish people if you do anything "wrong". there was this student that gave this girl cheata print hair, and then left, another student worked on her also and mrs brooks thought it was a smart idea to put dark brown all over when the client wanted BLONDE. Me and mrs brooks were talking and I ask why did you give her brown hair when she wanted blonde? I said that you guys should have put bleach over the spots, and she just calls me *** and doesn't even know what I was talking about.

Right now I'm struggling with major depressive disorder.

I've been treated like I don't matter at all and I hear from people when I walk by that I'm ugly. It was big mistake coming here.

My daughter goes to the school in Lawton ok I'm seriously considering transferring her to another school the instructors there are so unprofessional they tell the students to be professional n courteous towards each other but its ok for the instructors to talk mess and make comments about certain students in front of other students and the students come back and tell what was said I'm calling corporate Monday and going to let them know how unprofessional their instructors are smh makes no sense they are supposed to be providing a positive learning experience not talking or making rude comments about their students....

I have Been Visiting your Irving location for several years. The intake guy today September 16th was rude when I initially came to the front dedk. He was rude when he told me that there were 4 people in front of me and that they could not call when they were ready for me while I shopped as they have done in the past.

To top everything off, he told me that the rod set was going to be more expensive than the roller set. I said that's fine. So I expected to pay $12.00, but when I got to the counter, he said "turn around" then he said that will be $20.00 because she twisted 4 rows up in the back. The fact that she twisted my hair in my opinion saved her 30 minutes, approximately because she didn't have to take time to roller rod the hair. It's not the money but the bad attitude. Buffy was kind and sweet and I would recommend her anytime.

I'm sure etiquette at the front desk is taught, but in this case, not received by this individual.

Worse place ever!!this academy is a joke..they teach like a day care..and the directors on florida longwood are very rude.

I'm a student here and I would absolutely NOT reccomend this school to ANYONE. I know it's cheap but you really do get what you pay for.

The instructors act immature and unprofessional. The director and instructors don't do anything about your complaints and don't fix issues. They've scammed countless people out of their money here. Every student here feels the same way.

Lots of students have gotten their lockers broken into and if you tell the teacher or the director they won't do anything about it. People get their things stolen all the time. The teachers lie to you and make fun of you behind your back. Especially ms brooks.

She will even make fun of you to your face and mock you. They belittle you in front of clients too. They have a horrible grading system and the books they first give you when you start, you don't even use so it's a waste of money. The director lies all the time too.

About loans, cheating students, cheating employees, everything. DO NOT TRUST THE STAFF. They will write you up for really dumb things too. They treat all the students like we're all five.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't cause yourself stress by going to this school. If you your the school make sure to talk to the students. We'll tell you anything you want to know!

I also got a makeup kit and I NEVER got it. They cheat you out of your time, money, and inner peace.

i went to the school in denton to be a model for my sister and it was TERRIBLE!!!!! So unprofessional!

the director of the school (i believe her name was Jenny) was a major BIT@$!!

Not sure how she has that job. i drove all the way from grand prairie spent $15 in gas just to get kicked out and not get anything done.....i would NEVER reccomend anyone go there as a student or a client!!!!

I have visited this school for many years, starting when it was "Aladdin". I have had highlights, colors, haircuts, facials, pedicures, manicures, waxing...I've had it all.

For the most part I have been satisfied. Some students are obviously better than others and some take longer and I've been understanding with that fact. For one reason, and one reason alone I will NEVER go back to this school.

I took a vacation day to spend the day with my 18 yr old daughter, because they were advertising a "Day of Beauty" which consisted of hair, manicure, pedicure, and facial.

I signed in and I was called before my daughter, even though I wrote her name first. My beautician (who was very friendly) was starting to cut my hair and my daughter had not even been seated yet. I found an instructor (Ms. Maria) and she informed me (very abruptly) that the names are called in order.

I told her my daughter was before I was and my student is starting my haircut! Finally a young women came out (don't know her name) and she had a total attitude problem. She was rolling her eyes and acting defeated. Like my daughter was bothering her.

My daughter tried to ask her for suggestion about hairstyles and the student was just rolling her eyes. I told my daughter that if she is uncomfortable with this person then lets get someone else or just go. I informed "Ms Maria" that we were unhappy with this person and she seems to have an attitude problem. Ms Maria said oh no she doesn't.

I told her we are uncomfortable with this situation and we would like a new person. Ms Maria said well its her turn in the rotation you can't have anyone else. She was arguing with me and being very ugly. And this is an INSTRUCTOR?!?

I was very upset and Ms Maria just walked off. My student asked me what was wrong and was very concerned that we were being treated poorly. Another instructor (Ms Dobbs I believe?) told me she had been there for like 25 years and she would take care of us and that this situation was uncalled for. I then spoke to "Mr J" the director.

He was worthless . He heard both sides and he was just like oh well this situation will be addressed maybe you can come tomorrow. He spoke to us like WE were students too. I told him I took a vacation day today and now he and his school have ruined a day that was supposed to be fun.

He gave me a coupon book which I threw in the trash. I will NEVER EVER EVER give my business to this school again. And everyone needs to heed my advice and run far away.

Also, if you want to attend this school--Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money going to Duvalls, Toni & Guy, or Ogle. This place is unprofessional.
