Resolved: There is no bias for customer satisfaction at ITM. I am very frustrated with the inability to get timely service on expensive tools they sell and supposedly service.

Technician Rob Chaya listened to me “the client” and understood the situation. Took charge, tested to unit himself after repair and replaced a part that had been lost when the unit was originally shipped.

I am pleased with the outcome thanks to Rob C. in Newmarket Ontario.

Sent a combustion analyzer to ITM in Toronto (Newmarket) for calibration: charge $780. Received the instrument back and it was no longer giving the information it is supposed to give.

Send unit back, technician sends me photos of the unit NOT working and/or giving results that could only be obtained in a lab. Tech says it's just fine and claims we're not using it properly. We've been using the same units for years. The unit is sent back to us and as expected does not work in the field.

After many email/photo exchanges with the technician, I ask to speak to the owner of ITM and am told he doesn't take phone calls. Finally, I purchase a new unit ($850) from their web site to prove the original unit in comparison to the original unit gives the information we need. I make a claim to my Credit Card company and get refunded for the original calibration/repair. The new meter begins to NOT work properly.

On October 02 2024 I send it to Montreal to avoid the tech? in Toronto. Wonderfully it ends up in Toronto anyway, then to the manufacturer in Pennsylvania.

Today is November 29 2024 and I have no meter which is crucial to my heating business. Really pissed!

User's recommendation: Don't buy from ITM and avoid Bacharach brand anything and certainly don't send any tool to them for service. They have sent tools back to me that had not been repaired and claimed the tool was not being used properly. B.S.!
