I think this is a scam

I was being pushed into taking the course that I cannot afford. But I signed up for Hebrew A in October 2020. Later that week, I received a call and he told me about offering a program with 5 courses for over 5K with scholarship. After I signed up, some months later, I called to cancel it. He told me there going to be a cancellation fee which I am not aware of. I have a disability and I can't believe they have to do that to me, pushing me to take the expensive course. Now struggling to paying monthly, my all of my course is now blocked. I tried email and they never responded. I still have little over thousand dollar to pay. I knew something is up with them. Will never pay the rest to them. I'm thinking it is a scam.

This business is a scam. First, the advertising video shows a Jewish woman who says she is speaking from Jerusalem. At the end of the video, she invites you to join her in Jerusalem to learn Hebrew. When you sign up to take a course, review the cancellation policy very...

I have contacted them and realized was a scam when they wanted me to enroll in September 30 last day to enroll, for a class that starts in December, it does not make sense. Then she offered a scholarship right away.

No institute will "offer" you a scholarship that easily. She said the classes would last 9 moths and offers just 30 hours. Mathematically, there are 36 hours in 9 months. I investigated the "Israel University " the woman mentioned guess what?

" not real" I looked for their institute online and could not find any "real" information about it.

This is a complete scam. Please don't fall for it.

Class Schedule

This company is big on pushing classes without giving all the details. My biggest complaint is that you find there are hidden fees if you decide from going from an Audit Student to one that would like to receive full university credit. That should be openly stipulated that it will cost more to take university credit classes. Secondly, I was sold three classes as a bundle in order to acquire a discount. I was told that I could take classes together or one by one. I could take Greek and Hebrew at the same time. So, I wrote the eteacher group about my next start date, which should have occurred on the week of December 7th. Furthermore, they emailed me stating that I needed to put myself on the December schedule. I then spoke to a representative (name unknown) who indicated that I could start my December class on Monday evenings, which works for me due to my job. NO CALL, NO EMAIL, I found out by accident that I had been disenrolled from the December class and placed in NO CLASS. I sent an email and received a call within a week to tell me that the class was full therefore I could not take the class. I asked, How was I disenrolled and the class is now full, but no one called me or emailed me to give me notice or a reason. Tammy, the supervisor Representative stated a that they would put me in another class and that classes could only hold 16 people and 20 were signed up. I then indicated to her that I was not placed in a full class and wondered how all of a sudden the class was full. I asked to be placed in class based on when I registered and the last person registered to be told they had to find another date/time. I then received a call back from Tammy to tell me that they had a policy that did not allow you to take two classes together. I then questioned that comment, because I was told that I could take Greek and Hebrew together. She then told me that your Hebrew A Class ends at the end of December and will cross over Hebrew B Class and it is against our policy to allow that type of cross over. I AM JUST HEARING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME. She then tried to inform me that I could take the class in January or February or anytime I desired, but I COULD NOT TAKE THE HEBREW B CLASS IN DECEMBER. I could not drop out of the last 4 classes in December to join the HEBREW B Class. LET ME MAKE SURE I make myself clear. I AM NOT TAKING CLASSES FOR UNIVERSITY CREDIT. NO HOMEWORK OR TESTS TO TAKE. Why do they care when I take the class or cross over another same language class? IT IS NOT THEIR MONEY and I am not walking away with college credit. I am so over it, and I am disappointed in my treatment. If you decide to take classes with the company, BE CAREFUL. You are not told everything up front, every representative obviously does not know school policy, and ALTHOUGH THEY JUST WANT YOUR CASH. They do not treat you appropriately. DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE, because you have no leverage ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY.

User's recommendation: Be careful and do not buy advance classes from this company.

Shaking my head

Israel Institute Of Biblical Studies - Shaking my head
The curriculum is great, but Shiela Rot (ROHT) should be pronounced as written (ROT) should be FIRED. I have never met someone who is so unethical. What a disappointment. This company for almost a year the packages sat and sat at the Post office. THEY REFUSED to take it back. A friend of mine was told that they would charge here $1000 if she quit!! That is insane. Again, if you are not trying to quit it is smooth sailing... try and quit the program and see what they say. I have tried to call and was told they would get back to me and never did. I have pictures of the REFUSED packages. I have on a number of occasions explained, faxed, emailed, and nothing happened accept me getting robbed of $436.99 for a cancellation fee when there is NO CANCELLATION FEE! Then they charged me for things I would have NEVER ordered. The books cannot be used outside of the course..smh. I keep trying to upload the packaging that says REFUSED and it is saying PDF is over 10mb...

Shaking my head- response

I got an email saying that someone did not like what I said about the school. The school curriculum is fine, however Shiela Rot (ROHT) which is should be ROT(TEN) is not. She is an unethical liar. I am not sure who my friend spoke to but they told her she would have to pay in order to quit. I had those items returned to me and it said that they REFUSED to take it back?? I have said all that I am going to in the past. I don't need to repeat it. God sees everything. I feel sorry for her actually. I feel sorry for anyone who is doing wrong to people. God said that HE would repay. Believe it or not. He upholds the righteous, not perfect, just integral.

FRAUD

Israel Institute Of Biblical Studies - FRAUD
Israel Institute Of Biblical Studies - FRAUD
They charged me a cancellation fee which does not exist. I was taking Hebrew level A and had to cancel B, C, D, E and Shielia Rot told me that there was a cancellation fee. She also said that since I was leaving perhaps I would not mind taking a gift that she was offering so that I would not leave without anything. She offered level B book, keyboard stickers and some other things. I was in my car on the mainland (I live on Oahu) driving to the next state and she asked had I seen my cancellation policy. I said no. So she wanted to charge me $436.99 I said fine I will take the book that she was offering as a GIFT. I cancelled April 5th and I have been fighting this case since May. I told my credit card company that I refuse to pay a debt that I don't owe. They sent my cc company a receipt that said I ordered 3 items that magically came up to the $436.99 that was supposed to be a "cancellation fee." They will not take my calls and no one ever returns my phone calls...They are supposed to be teaching Hebrew and Torah, but are liars. I have a friend who is going through the same. I even mailed back what they sent...UNOPENED and it sat over there for months. They refused to pick it up. I need to know how to deal with this....
