This company is full of liars and manipulators for a buck. JUST OUR LUCK

The timeshare business is full of sharks. Not to mention over the top lies and manipulation. Then when you get suckered in you are stuck with this crap that is nothing like they sell it. Timeshares should be illegal, or make them short term deals and this will force companies to go back to customer service routes to ensure they keep their owners happy and they keep renewing their contract. But that is not the case. This industry is so wrought with fraud it is ridiculous and the government does nothing. There is not laws to protect the consumer, and if there was the companies are not following them and this is why if they were not allowed to do long term contracts until death and beyond anymore. First off, multiple sales reps hounded us for over 4 hours and told us this was such a "great investment", and we could trade our week all over the world at NO EXTRA COST. The Island Seas representatives did not explain that Interval is apart from the timeshare process and its fees. The experience was very unnerving and unsettling. The access to shopping and restaurants outside the share was very limited was extremely expensive, we felt we were being taken advantage of especially when we had to pay for a shuttle to get to a paid per person excursion. They also misrepresented all the work that was supposedly going to happen to make this resort Better. Which when we were there a certain portion of the Island Seas facility was blocked off due to construction there and the facility next to Island Seas so we believed them. In addition, there were bugs in our condo, particularly in one bedroom. We attended the sales presentation at Island facility in May 2013; the property was undergoing renovations. We were told during the sales preservation that the reservation would be done in about 6 months. Our first and only stay at Island Seas was in November 2014, there were minimal changes to the property and then to deal with bug infected condo is not right. We should have never allowed ourselves to be talked into buy this stuff. What a scam. This company should be held accountable for their claims seeing as people believe them.

User's recommendation: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

This resort and investment to Timesharing aspect is a rotten egg

The sales rep at this timeshare told us we were hurting her family by not buying. After hours of hostage negotiations, we signed and have never been able to use this. We have invested about $37,000 and no vacations to show for it. Nothing was ever available and now 19 years later we are too old to use it but we want to warn people about this company before they end up like us. 800 we pay a year for nothing. We have been at odds with this business and trying to get out for years. This company has not done right by us. They refuse to help us. This is a one-sided contract, they have received 100% of the benefits while we have seen nothing.. 0% If you look at the reviews online you will see that the resort is beat-up and not maintained, and we still pay over 800 to maintain it SO where is the money going. WHAT A SCAM. WE HAVE LOST SO MUCH MONEY AND HAVE NOT ONE SINGLE VACATION TO SHOW FOR IT.

User's recommendation: DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS AT ALL, THEY ARE THIEVES.

Needs upkeep & repairs

Feb. March 2019 Steps from the Coral Unit to the beach needs repair. So Unsafe Sofas need upgrading, very bad to sleep on. Chair in living area is very dirty, I had to place a sheet on it. Many washers are broken. More beach chairs and umbrellas needed, there is a stack of broken ones. WIFI isn't very good Many night stands and dressers are falling apart. BRING BACK THE SHUTTLE! ISLAND SEAS doesn't feel like it should have Ultra Diamond Members. We pay a lot of money for membership and for buying into the place.

Island Seas Resort in Freeport Bahamas allowed my signature to be forged

Island Seas Resort in Freeport Bahamas allowed my signature to be forged
My sister, a friend and I were talked/tricked into buying a timeshare at Island Seas in 2009. This company allowed my sister to upgrade us ito a 15 year contract with-out my consent. Someone forged my signature in 2011 on a brand new contract during the time I was home sick and under-going radiation for stage three liver disease. They told my sister that she could do this, and promised her, along with a group of her friends that they could spend the day out on a yacht for upgrading. I am a 60 year old disabled woman. Please help me to fight them.

Sounds like you are screwed unless there was very little money put down .... in that case I wouldn't dump that timeshare as quickly as my sister jumped on me for a trip on a yaht!

honor my 2009 contract, pay me the money back that I paid out of pocket on a fraud/forged signature on 2011 contract.

Lies. All Lies

They will promise you the world and you will get nothing in return. The island seas resort in Freeport grand bahama is the equivalent of a slum hotel in the US. The rooms are run down. Bad location, for there is nothing around. You will have to get a take or rent a car/scooter. BBB gives them a D- rating. Look it up. Tons of hidden charges, you have to buy immediately or you lose incentives. I repeat They will promise you the world and you will get nothing in return. Island Seas Resort Rips Off Consumers

WARNING! DO NOT sign any contracts with Island Seas as if you do and they offer you to move over to their resort and stay in a "complementary" room and cancel this contract within the 7 days they state, they will refuse to refund your deposit and instead bill you for the room at over $300 per night as well as other fees and for any "gifts" you received to your credit card and when you request a refund refuse to refund any money. They are simply making money from unsuspecting travelers and stealing money because the resort is not worth staying and people have figured out what a scam they are. This resort is one of the many owned by Robert Dean Carlson, 3 Sunshine Blvd, Ormond Beach, Fl. They need to be put out of business. To give you an idea what type of person he is, he was sued in 2008 by a former long time friend in Tennessee for $450K which was invested in a worthless aerospace firm. Despite at first agreeing to refund the investment, reneged on that agreement and has been sued for his actions. He and his companies should have the Federal Trade Commission investigate him for their deceptive business practices.
