I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to share my recent experience with ISACA and express my concerns about their practices. I have been a member for years, paying dues for both membership and certification, only to be met with disappointment and frustration.
ISACA seems to have a very rigid and unforgiving approach when it comes to their certification maintenance requirements. I have found that they are not willing to negotiate or accommodate individuals, especially those in Africa who do not earn in dollars. The cost of earning CPE credits is already high, and their lack of flexibility only adds to the financial burden.
What shocked me the most was their cold and dismissive attitude when I tried to address these concerns. There was no reminder or warning before my certification was suddenly revoked. It felt like they were more focused on making money than supporting their members.
I believe that ISACA should work on partnering with their members, listening to their concerns, and providing more opportunities for growth and development. It is important for them to consider the financial realities of different regions and ensure that everyone has a fair chance to maintain their qualifications.
