Horrible experience

Irrigation Doctor of Michigan - Horrible experience

Hired them to winterize our sprinklers. Not only did they fail to winterize the pipes correctly, they left with the water turned off to the main house and this (see picture).

When we called to have them come back and fix the problem, we were told it was our fault (after them telling many lies to try to cover themselves), were hung up one by the lady in the office, then the technician called to berate my wife with profanities. They were adamant to come back to the house, I had to threaten calling the police if they set foot on my property. They eventually tore up our check and placed it in our mailbox, with the technician yelling "here's your check, {{Redacted}} off" as she drove away (have this on video). Incompetent, ignorant and just all around horrible people.

Don't give them your business. They have a "F" rating on BBB for a reason.

Your post makes the whole situation extremely obvious it is extremely obvious that the system had been winterized and as you said the water to the whole house was shut off knowing that the water needed to be shut off to the sprinklers and it was shut off to your house you turn the water back on without shutting the sprinklers off did you not know where the shut-off for the sprinklers was how would the technician know where the shut off was if you don't, instead of just calling for a technician to come and make it right you turn the water on, knowing that the winterization would need to be redone knowing the backflow preventer stays open all winter long so it cannot crack and break you turn the water on and go outside to take a picture you think this makes someone else look bad this makes you look bad my man

Same for me. Have always been good.

They must of had the wrong person taking care of the folks with the bad experience. Management should have made some major fixes and fired bad staff.

Unacceptable for any company/business to treat customers this way. Customer is king....

Rated F by the Better Business Bureau

I have now learned that this company is rated F by the Better Business Bureau. Based on my experience, stay as far away as possible and find a reputable company.

They charged me $818.00 for a start-up on March 10, 2017, which they said required substantial plumbing work. The next day I checked with the Oakland County Water Commission, and they informed me that they had recently inspected my system, which they said was in perfect working order, that this work was totally unnecessary, and that the company was simply trying to drum up business.

In addition, they told me that I had a valve problem, but my sprinkler man who had retired a month earlier informed me that the problem was caused by solder in the sprinkler line from their plumbing work. Use at your peril.

You sir are not honest,I have used this company for 25 years, I cannot find many companies that have been in this business this long, the techs at irrigation doctor work long days to repair and maintain the sprinkler systems for the loyal customers they appreciate, and do not have time for un needed ,or unwanted repairs such as yours, how you managed to receive services with out insinuating the need, to me seems almost impossible, these techs would never perform services such as what you speak of without you carblanch authorization of the repairs, you may be able to do this in your country- but not in America

Bad Service

I had this company out prior and they did good work. They performed a startup service, repairs, and winterization service.

This year there was some issues with performing the startup, the people who came out looked ratty, and really didn't appear to care much. I didn't get any answers to my questions, only vague answers - I don't know we have to look at it. Basically trying to have me agree to additional services, just so they could find something else to charge in the meantime. The original person who performed my services from years in the past, did a great job.

The people that have since joined the company or replaced the original technician are poor at best. The same goes for the phone operators.

The people on the phone are short, perturbed, and give the impression that your existence is bothersome.

Irrigation doctor - unethical

Irrigation doctors out of Belleville, MI : hire employees with no sense of pride for their work and no care for their customers. Stay away they r punk kids that don't know what their doing, just want to take your money.

The employees stated they don't care about their work cause it's not their company , don't really know what they are doing any better than the customer could do them selves. I would not recommend this company to anyone .

Even the owner was yelling at me in the phone because he was upset I was expressing my opinion regarding his choice of employees. Company has bad morals as a whole
