Workers not doing there job and I still have no food stamps
- - Told to call by March 1 to reopen my DHS case.
- - Five days of calls to DHS for food stamps.
- - Worker apologized for Covid delay and interview mix-up.
Well on January 31st I got a call from my worker and I told her I would call her back on my break, which I forgot. So February 5th or 6th i got a letter from DHS saying I have until march 1st to call them to reopen my case, so for 5days straight calling my workers number and actually going to the Dhs office in Clinton iowa asking for help about my Foodstamps seeing me and my kids was down to can goods we dont eat and noodles and water.
Everytime I went down there the ladies in the front would say to me remember your the one that didnt call her back I understood that. Thats why I have been trying to call her.
So my worker finally called me last Friday evening around5pm to tell me how sorry she was that this happened and that she was out sick with Covid for that week and someone else was suppose to had done my interview. No one ever told me that at all they didnt care they just kept saying its my fault![]()
User's recommendation: Don’t ever have to deal with dhs
Status and replacement cards
I was on hold for about and hour and a half only to finally get connected to some one got put on hold and hung up on.
User's recommendation: Good luck
Snap benefits
I made 33 phone calls over 5 days, waited on hold for hours only to be disconnected or transferred and put on hold again.
Issue still has not been resolved. What a joke of an institution.
User's recommendation: Don't bother calling. They clearly don't care.

I bet those “can goods we don’t eat” look pretty good now.
