Dishonesty and crockery in the service department

12/18/2021 I went in for oil change and inspection. After waiting for about three hours, young female told me my van is almost finish and she told me I needed two new tires to pass the inspection bill is $580 never told me the total bill.

When it was time for me to pay she said total bill 975.00. I ask what happened I thought it was 580.00.

She replied sorry for the miscommunication, she wasn't sincere at all. I feel like I was scammed.

Playing with the numbers, being misleading, that's what was done to me today . If I was told my total bill would be 975.00 I would have opted out of having the service done at Interstate Toyota and went else where.

Satisfied recent customer

I walked injust to look for a "future" car, which I did not think I was ready for. I spotted a Rav4 that I liked but knew that I definitely wanted one with a Sunroof. Within just a few minutes of getting there, I was greeted by Sale Associate Joseph Gordon, who sharply guided me through the lot and assisted me in choosing a car that is best for me and appropriate with my budget. I am now a proud owner of a Brand New 2018 Rav4 and I am loving it.

Thank you Joseph for taking the time to assist me. You are a 10 in my book. I almost forgot to add that a week later I needed help to familiarize myself with the new technology features update, Joseph gladly made an appointment to have me come in for a 10 minutes Manual lesson.

Sincerely,

Satisfied Customer.

Terrible Behavior at Interstate Toyota!!!

One afternoon I went to the interstate Toyota dealership to test drive one their cars. As soon as I walk in to the manager he told me " Tell me the truth, be honest with me , what you want to achieve today so my time is not going to be wasted"etc.

Excuse me!? is this the way hot they approach customers or potential customers. At least the so called dealership "Interstate Toyota" showed their real ugly face with no string attached. SHMAE on them.

Don't go there.

You might regret it. Besides, some other dealerships are much more humane and agreeable than this scammers

BEWARE!!!!

Interstate Toyota - Savings Coupon Review from New York City, New York

My name is Judah Cohen I asked the advisor Lou merturi to check my back brakes and told him if it's near it's time to be changed I told him to do so in had a special coupon that was a savings of $100 if I had a service for $300. However he called me back an hour and a half later and said my brakes were fine in the Green. However I am looking at the paper work given to me and I see clearly that both te right and left had 4mm left which is certainly not in the green at best it's barely in the yellow for at 3mm it needs to be replaced if you think I'll come back you have to think twice I regret using dishonest people my invoiced is #367401 you can see it for yourself my home phone number is 845368****

Deceptive Sales Person - Unprofessional

I am currently in the process of selling my Toyota 4Runner and received a phone call from one of their sales persons Aiesha (sp?), who called in response to my ad that was placed on Craigslist. She mentioned that Interstate Toyota was interested in vehicles such as mine and that I should come by so that they could take a look at it and make an offer.

I agreed. The next day, I arrived at the dealership and met with her manager who, inside of 1 minute told me that they weren't interested in my vehicle due to it's high mileage. If that were the case, why did Aiesha, knowing all of the specifics of my vehicle, encourage me to travel the nearly 1 hr trip to Interstate Toyota.

This truly shows a lack of professionalism on their part in trying to deceive me and basically waste my time. I would never buy or sell any vehicle from this dealership based upon my experience there without even the courtesy of an apology.

Such a shady dealership!

My boyfriend and I recently spent an entire Sunday afternoon looking at cars at Interstate Toyota. We found a Prius we loved and negotiated a fair price with 0% financing.

All the paperwork was signed, we were congratulated, we got the keys to the car and drove it home that day. Fast forward 24 hours to where we get a call saying they actually can't give us that deal, and can we come back and sign paperwork that will raise our interest rate to 1.9% and increase our monthly payments by 15%. I expected so much more out of Toyota and am frankly disgusted at their complete ineptitude. I have never heard of a dealership back-tracking on a contract let alone calling a customer back to the dealership in an attempt to charge them more.

We gave them back the car and want nothing more to do with Interstate Toyota.

I know car dealerships can be shady but this one takes the cake. We'll be taking this up with the larger Toyota corporation...

I told "it" i could buy icar direct off the lease from toyota with no fee period. He/She told me no i would have to pay the fee, Istood up and said to the he/she you are a sleeze and i will never come here again After sharing this story with friends, they stated, they will also noT spend 1 penny there.

Wow! "It-sleaze-he/she" Sadly, many consumers resort to name-calling when they obviously have not done their own homework before entering a business waving a check-book/debit card.

Why don't people understand the process BEFORE starting the transaction?

Any "friend" who makes a business decision based on your narrow minded observations of a persons outward appearance probably doesn't do much critical thinking on much of anything.

As a guess, you are white lower-middle class, vote Republican never read-up on the issues but depend on Glen Beck to form your opinions for you. Have a great life.

Next time try checking on a few different businesses before getting so upset.

Not a personal attack, merely an observation in return without the name-calling :grin

slick operators-been there-wont be back, i understand what this lady went thru- they are known in the area for this.

Car dealers finance departments have a sleezy image because of people like the one described above- shame on you Interstate- the owner works out at a local gym and flirts with woman while the finance person rips him off, nice business

Interstate toyota scion

Applied for financing on line. Granted, the state of the economy hurt my credit rating but they responded with a great deal!!!

I was approved and all I needed to do was come in with paystub, license and proof of residence. No cash or check down payments needed. I told them all, sales girl, finance director (as he's called) not to waste their or my time since I was driving over an hour to get there if this was not going to materialize. I was assured, not to worry..shame on me...if a deal sounds too good it is!!

I get there, wait in a waiting room with my wife and daughter, the "wizard of oz" is behind the curtain working his "magic". The 2 sales girls who couldn't find the vehicles they wanted to show us in the lot smiled pretty, were polite but all as part of the scam and game...

I ended up leving after a $440 payment and 20% interest rate was given and told shame on me for a low credit score...AVOID THESE CLOWNS!!

Interstate Toyota- Shady Operation!

Purchased a Sienna. Roof rack was to be included.

I didn't notice that the cross rails were missing until I brought it home. Major hassle to correct situation. Additionally, they added a $379 charge for 'administrative fee'. Never discussed this up front, not reviewed it when paying for the vehicle.

This was a cash transaction, so hard to understand why the charge, but in any case, they certainly avoided any discussion about this fee.

It's supposed to be negotiable, but only if you catch them during the paperwork! They also added a charge for NY State inspection, even though I told them that I was registering the car in VT.

Better off at Rockland Toyota

I get better service and better treatment at Rockland Toyota. Left Interstate Toyota Scion after 10 minutes.

They are so far from the Thruway ramp that the visit was a waste of my time. I have shopped many Dealerships and thought I might get a better deal but I was wrong.

I ended up doing my service and buying my car from Rockland Toyota. I love love the Cafe at Rockland Toyota. I can use the Wifi and get online and have lunch while they service my car.

Interstate is not the place do do business. Go to Rockland Toyota

Are you kidding me! Rockland Toyota are a bunch of crooks!

Bought two cars there, I know.

Bought my newest one from Interstate Toyota and got much better service, better price and trade in. NO complaints whatsoever.
