I have a dedicated VPs with them (which I will never renew despite the major hassle of moving my sites elsewhere).

I lodged a ticket some time ago due to one of my sites being penetrated by hackers.

They (eventually) agreed to run a detailed scan asking me to get a trial account with cloud Linux who are well known for their anti-hacker solutions. So did as asked but imh were so slow that the trial expired.

They without communication closed the ticket!!!

I have posted a fresh one and bought a 30day licence to cloud Linux, supplied imh with access and guess what?

Ticket 755**** has not even been looked at yet and thats after 5 days! (Dedicated VPs customers are supposed to get enhanced support (I hate to think what basic users get).

This has been imhs pattern for over a year and sadly have 1 year before my account is due for renewal.

Im seriously considering cutting my losses and make the move now despite the fact that the damage to my businesses will run into thousands.

DONT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE INMOTION.

I was a satisfied customer with InMotion Hosting until today. I called tech-support and requested a callback feature and after 2½ hours I hadn't received a call.

In an effort to actually get a person on the phone my next call I selected the billing department. The representative told me he could get me somebody in tech-support but just transferred me right to the same queue I had been waiting in. I called back and asked to speak to supervisor and after 16 minutes, was connected to a supervisor named Josh. Josh knew I was upset when I called, but proceeded to do everything he could to absolutely infuriate me.

He told me that not only should I expect to wait 2½ hours but frankly I should expect to wait four hours or more and like it!

After practically telling me to go stuff it, he actually sent me an email reprimanding me for my bad attitude.

I am now seeking a new hosting company. InMotion Hosting used to be good, but now they are as bad if not worse than GoDaddy!

Failure (yet again) to respond to tickets.

Been waiting for 5 days now and no response.

Im a dedicated VPs account too.

That last ticket took so long that the trial subscription to an anti-hacker service expired so have had to buy a one month subscription for it.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. No apologies of course but they have started on resolving the issue

I logged a ticket (741****) concerning an issue with DNS configuration which needed resolution so that my domain would work with a third parties system.
I was given incorrect information (sound familiar?). My other vendor (who are experts in their field) disputed what in motion stated and went so far as to send a document to educate them.
That information has been sat there for over 5 days now and I have just checked, and it still has not been picked up or responded to.
Please can you guys give them a wake-up call?
They broadcast their superb?? Support and its 24/7 hours of operation.
All, I can say after waiting so long is they must be asleep!
Sadly It was only recently you chased them up on my behalf and for pretty much the same issue (really atrocious response.

Until relatively recently I have been a happy customer with Inmotion Hosting and my vps server.

NOT NOW.

To be clear, I am making a Formal complaint concerning ticket #736****

Not only has this issue consumed a ridiculous amount of time but support to add insult to injury are failing totally in their service delivery.

Please whoever handles complaints of this nature, take the time to read through the history of the ticket.

You will see that I have been given incorrect advice causing me to spend inordinate amounts of time chasing down blind alleys only to find the information given by the agent is incorrect, but also that the recommended help article is out of date and/or not applicable to a vps configuration.

So, here we are where I feel the need to make my formal complaint as it is unacceptable especially given that as of the date of this email it has been over 4 days since receiving any update to the ticket.

This situation has stopped me moving forward with my projects which is damaging to my business.

Please get this ticket acted upon and not by drip feeding me with the next action and me following advise (often finding issues) before being given the 'Next' bit of the puzzle.

Can the agent concerned please check his/her advice path through to resolution before issuing the next statement of resolution.

Well... strange as it may seem, following your contact with IMH things started to happen.

Two invoices for $0.00 where posted thus provisioning 2 ip addresses (that I had previously purchased as part of my vps) This shows that I could never have resolved the problem because the ip's had previously not been allocated! I got NO APOLOGY for all the heartache and no mention about the disruption they caused or acknowledgement of my costs! They did however react and completed the processes needed on my behalf and to my general satisfaction, though they did mess up half way through (in two areas). My site went down to boot.

Anyway, I'm where I should be and it's a shame they couldn't have just done things properly in the first place.

So I'm kind of content that it got there but still pissed off at the whole thing! Thanks to pissedconsumer for your assistance.

[If this company makes &operates the E-log devices for Truck drivers H/O/S.] There's no room for correction on '"Driving" (line) w/honest errors when "Personal Conveyance" is needed unselected w/o messing up H/O/S to an erroneous 'violation' all day. Waiting on device is FATIGUING! P/U's lost/late.

User's recommendation: The 'Truckdriver(?)' inventing it didn't allow for a margin of error. Paper logs are better for corrections (even most legal documents allow for error/correction. The ideal is to prevent 'driver fatigue' not cause it! And not allowing the clocks to work if an 'override' is needed is pure *** against the solutions. The e-log system should be a 'suggestion' where every situation is different, example - 'posted' road signs. 'Under duress' log signings to "Agree" w/o full correction options hostages the driver to comply to a lie. It appears ELD inventor is a traitor & greedy kiss-ass to DOT.The "In Motion" name is shared with other businesses, not easy to locate, and website is unfriendly to almost useless - like a hemorrhoid!
